ousefox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I'm sure Konch made literally 2 sloppy passes. People seem to love to hate him. Played very well today and his finish was better than our strikers efforts. Simpson also had a good game but was equally sloppy if not worse in possession - kicking it down the line to nobody and out of play a few times, but this doesn't get a mention. I'd still look for a new left back but people need to get off his back.
Dickov22 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Missed 2 sitters and his dumb play resulted in a red card for James. Not a good performance imo. Missed one sitter yes. Not having that header as 'a sitter'. Jesus Christ. James got himself sent off. Shame, because he had a super game and we'll miss him.
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 7s mostly. 8 for Marc and Knocky. 5 for Ulloa for not shooting when we had that 1 on 1
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Knockaert and Albrighton took their chance how you'd like them to. Great work rate and very positive on the ball. Sadly by far the lowest rating goes to Lawrence. Nothing came off for the lad. Vardy isn't having the best of times either. Missed one sitter yes. Not having that header as 'a sitter'. Jesus Christ.James got himself sent off. Shame, because he had a super game and we'll miss him. Why not?

Sadly by far the lowest rating goes to Lawrence. Nothing came off for the lad. Vardy isn't having the best of times either. Why not? Having seen it on MOTD now, it was a poor miss by him. Live, I didn't think so. Still don't think his performance merited a 3 out of 10 though ! He was better than Ulloa today.
SamW Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Pearson - 6, Stay Team:Hamer - 7 (Never really troubled, dealt with what little was thrown at him)Simpson - 6 (Little to do but dealt with it well) Morgan - 6 (Looks more composed than he did two months ago)Wasilewski - 8 MotM (Fantastic game today, made some excellent blocks and important tackles)Konchesky - 6 (Looked shaky at the back but took his goal very well)Albrighton - 7 (His best game for us so far. His crosses into the box deserved goals)Hammond - 7 (Passing was not brilliant but he looked very assured)James - 6 (Unlucky not to score with his header but deserved his red card) Knockaert - 7 (Needs to cut out some of his showboating but good running down the wings)Nugent - 6 (How many chances to score does he need?) Ulloa - 6 (Should have taken a shot at goal before he was taken down in the box) SUBS:Lawrence - 6 (Looked assured but had little to deal with)Vardy - 6 (Little to do, but put some good pressure on the Villa defence)King - 6 (Slotted into the midfield well) Aston Villa - Very poor (Created next to nothing and had some awful shooting. Their players spent more time on the floor than the ball)Michael Oliver - Very poor (Rightly sent James off but should have booked Okore for studs and shown Clark a straight red for his reaction. Should have given the penalty when Hammond was fouled and gave Villa too many soft free kicks)
benpicko Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Nugent's first miss looked a lot harder on MOTD to get on target without just kicking it at Guzan than it originally did, should've just left it for Knockaert
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Special shout out to Walsh5 who says I'm biased in my dislike for Wasileskwi and love for Vardy. As you can see, I say as I see it! The fact you've had to point that out probably means you are a tiny bit biased.
Freesolo Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Only caught the highlights on MOTD not saying this to sound like a Smug Twat but did villa even have a shot on goal? We looked brilliant if we had a good Striker it would have be at least 3-0
One Legged Beaver Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Pearson - 8 Looked pretty controlled for most the game and carved them apart at will. Hamer - 7 Didn't really have much to do but commanded his box well. Simpson - 8 Up and down the right hand side all game and completely nullified any threat down that side. His best game for us yet. Wasyl - 8 Monster, been one of our best players this season. Wes - 8 Solid performance and kept Benteke quiet all game with Was. Konch - 7 The usual, good off the ball but not so off the ball except for the winning moment of the game. Albrighton - 8 Terrorised Villa's back line all game and unlucky not to come away with an assist. Hammond - 8 Very under rated player. We've missed his bite in the midfield. James - 7 Was having a great game but spoiled it with a stupid tackle at the end. Knockaert - 9 Don't think I've seen anyone cover so much grass in one game. He was everywhere and reminiscent of the Knockaert we all love. Nugent - 7 Pretty much at the centre of everything going forward, shame about his god awful shooting today. Ulloa - 5 Pretty non-existent bar his exist and I have no idea why he didn't shoot when 1 on 1. Lawrence - 4 Nothing seemed to come off for him but it's good to see he's willing to take people on and make things happen. King - 6 Standard King, solid. Vardy - 6 Better off the ball than on it today, but kept some much needed pressure on their defence/midfield. Villa - 1 Simply because that is as low as I can vote them, they were dreadful. Ref - 6 Don't remember anything particularly atrocious from him.

We looked brilliant if we had a good Striker it would have be at least 3-0 No they didn't The fact you've had to point that out probably means you are a tiny bit biased. Not at all. Vardy having a poor season although I still think he can do it. Wasilewksi has surprised me and is doing ok for us.
Steve Earle Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Hamer 6 - a day off Simpsom 6 - steady Wes 7 - welcome back! Was 7 - great comeback after his horror show at Villa Park, looking the part Konch 5 - poor but plus 1 for the goal Albrighton 7 - good again, presumably tiring when subbed James 6 - Mr Reliable, until the 93rd minute Hammond 7 - excellent. Who knew last season he could be this good? Not me. Knocky 6 - don't understand the 'MOTM' outpourings for him on this performance. He worked hard but posed little or no threat. Nugent 5 - missed two sitters, mis-placed pass after pass, and cost us our second goal and a red card for Matty with an awful touch in stoppage time. Yet he worked tirelessly and linked midfield and attack. Can Kramaric do that (we know he won't miss so many chances)? Ulloa 5 - one of his least effective games for us Vardy 4 - no zip, no confidence, no nothing. What's wrong? Lawrence 4 - lost possession too easily and missed a sitter King 6 - looked ready to play during Matty's suspension MOTM - no one player stood out for me, all those on 7 would be candidates...
thebluefox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Was MOM closely followed by the wingers and Hammond. Albrighton played as if he was proving a point and Anthony took his chance well. Hammond unspectacular but very composed..Did what he's paid to do. Nugent was profligate, but his general contribution was positive again. Disappointed with Leo, looked jaded...did have a contribution to the goal though. Everyone else was decent on the day, no passengers, though the subs proved less than positive. Vards didn't contribute a deal and Lawrence a little too loose with the ball! Villa were appaling, very little heart in that team.......Joe Cole was anonymous and the front two seemed totally disinterested....Glad Hutton contributed to our goal and delighted that Clarke got sent off....Both have a sly and cynical streak. Guzan was head and shoulders above any of the outfield players....! pretty much sums up what I saw, though I gave MOM to Knocky
Corky Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Hamer- 6 (Not much to do, one great catch towards the end) Simpson- 7 (Good display) Wes- 8 (Immense) Was- 8 (Hero) Konchesky- 6 (Mixed display, some poor passing but lovely goal) Albrighton- 7 (Good week for him, plays with purpose and not afraid to get stuck in) James- 8 (Was dominating the second half, shame we'll lose him now) Hammond- 7 (Seems to move in slow motion but does a job for the team) Knockaert- 8 (Effort, passion, commitment but also sensible play) Ulloa- 4 (Lethargic) Nugent- 6 (Missed a great chance, nearly scored a beauty, mixed link up play) Subs- Vardy- 4 (Not doing it at the moment) Lawrence- 5 (Purposeful but wasteful too) King- 6 (Important job to kill the game, solid) Aston Villa- 3 (Plenty of the ball, no cutting edge whatsoever) Ref- 3 (Gave a lot of soft fouls, broke up the game too much) Pearson- Stay
Guest MattP Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 James and Wasyl 8 Knocky Wes Hamer Hammond 7 Rest a 6. Nothing happened for Lawrence or Vardy, think people are being harsh on Ulloa. Pearson - No need to even ask.
Raj Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Corky how the fook can you give ulloa 4??? Have a word son. See how much running.he does instead of just staying in the box? He runs the wing, middle all for the cause
Dan Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Pearson gets an 8, we were missing players and were unlucky to only win by a goal. Most of them get 7, Albrighton, Knockaert and Morgan get 8, Wasilewski 9 for what I believe was one of the best performances from a Leicester player this season. Ulloa 5, he really struggled I thought although it doesn't help when you're constantly being fouled and the **** ref doesn't want to know - unless of course you win the ball and the **** defender dives. King gets a 6, Vardy & Lawrence were both really poor for me and struggled. 3 and 3. Ref gets a 1. Utter disgrace throughout. Every single 50/50 went their way, missed a stone-wall penalty in the first half and got the red card wrong. Villa a 2, I think they managed to be worse than Newcastle last week which is staggering. The fact they sit in midtable reflects horribly on this league. Pearson stays.

Raj Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I love ulloa. He was getting fouled non stop, should have had a pen, could have had a goal(hard header tho from nugents rebound) but the lad never hides or gives up. Real trier.
kingfox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Some of these ratings for James and Hammond are far too kind. First half especially they were atrocious.
theessexfox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Some of these ratings for James and Hammond are far too kind. First half especially they were atrocious. What made them atrocious? Bar our clear tactics to sit back when Villa were in possession and let them do their amazing trick of passing it side to side with zero penetration?
Burmesefox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Is it just me or does Ulloa remind anyone else of a tanned Ormandroyd?
The_77 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 I really don't understand some of the ratings on this thread. Konch made two poor passes but other than that was incredibly solid and, yes, scored the only goal in a game that was dreadful in front of goal. 7s and 8s for Matty James? He put in his usual shift of good tackling (aside from his last one, for which he was rightly sent off) but he really doesn't seem to know what to do when he has the ball. Slow decision making, poor vision, and generally wasteful in possession. Excellent job by Hamer and the back 4 today; they were incredibly organized and Villa didn't have the slightest idea of how to get through. Wasyl and Wes were beasts but I was shocked to see Agbonlahor out-muscle and put Wasyl on the ground in the second half. I would sleep with one eye open if I were Gabriel. Knocky and Albrighton had great games-- would like to see Knocky be a little more restrained when going forward late in the game with a one-goal lead. Still, he got back hard every time and was a great source of energy. Albrighton is one sneaky tackler too. Unspectacular but solid shift from Hammond. I don't expect anymore from him, and I'm fine with those performances if he's the only option. Ulloa and Nuge left *a lot* to be desired in the box but they still linked up well on the Konch goal. Nuge was a bit unlucky when he hit the underside of the crossbar. Kramaric must have been salivating in the stands. Vardy and Lawrence needed to do a better job of winning and keeping possession towards the end of the game. Lawrence's natural inclination is to cut inside on his right foot from the left wing, but he's gotta be aware of the situation and take a couple of those runs toward the flag. Not the prettiest win with a thin midfield but the three points are absolutely justified-- it's been a great 2015 so far.
Unabomber Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Was was deffo motm wtf at people saying otherwise.
