foxes88 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I know I predicted a 1-0 loss but doesn't make it any easy to take. Such a poor performance didn't think we would play that poorly.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Rubbish. Surely even the most deluded of City fans will accept that we are down. Shocking errors from the manager. Why no Albrighton? We're 3 points from safety, behave
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Five players standing around and off Bojan when he hit that. Absolutely criminal to give anybody that amount of time and space in that kind of position; we created little but Stoke we hardly great. We desperately NEED a new left back as well as a new centre back. I've always liked Dean Hammond but I never thought I'd yearn for him to be starting games for us like I do currently. All in all a frustrating day with a bizarre team selection in one of the more "winnable" ties left, the lack of urgency we showed after the goal was staggering. One of the very few positives to come from the game was that Kramaric looked relatively sharp, more so considering the bloke hasn't properly trained for the best part of three weeks. On to next week.
RowlattsFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Lack of creativity when up against an organised team. Such a missed opportunity, would have been out the bottom three with a win.
Socks Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Well what a major softy after an exciting week... We need to start Krammy and Ulloa for every game now fvck nugent and vardy. cant see us getting out of the bottom 3 anytime soon
m4DD0gg Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 18m quid worth of strikers on the bench only to have Vargent start instead....jesus wept.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Missed opportunity today but we can't complain if Stoke do the same thing we did earlier in the season, albeit they were much better than we were that day. We were put into a corner today in midfield with injuries, and it shows we need more solidity in there and it seems we still can't put away our chances. We are still only three points off safety and the games at the start of the season shoes us we come out fighting against the big boys. Get a few points and we stay in touch.
Len Finsbury Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I can't help but think that although possession doesn't win points, we don't have much of it in almost any game. I can't recall this being a problem last year. You can't score if the opposition have more of the ball.
nickelbyfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 King and Drinkwater awful, got dicked on by Nzonzi. Konchesky, please fvck off. Awful distribution every time. Right about Konch and got owned for the goal - take the man out! you know you are slow and wont get back - feel sorry for him as just doesn't have the pace anymore, he's 33!
shailen Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Did we even have a midfield today. We deservedly lost the game
Guest Bilo Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Rubbish. Surely even the most deluded of City fans will accept that we are down. Shocking errors from the manager. Why no Albrighton? Playing like that, yes. Playing like we did against Villa, Liverpool, Tottenham and Hull (to a lesser extent), no. It does put pressure on us though, particularly on the Palace game that's coming up.
johnny the fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 These kind of performances get managers sacked.. wrong team wrong tactics..the writing was on the wall after ten mins..Albrighton should of started, baffled why he didn't.
Newcastlefox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Really, Really disappointing game. Game we had real chance to win. Really feel konch isn't up to this standard, and have been saying that since the championship, and andy king was anonymous. Also seemed like a lack of drive to even get the equaliser after they scored.
Captain... Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I could see the logic in playing pace against Stoke but we didn't play a single decent ball for Vardy to run on to. So frustrated, so pissed off and guess where I'm fvcking working next week. Fvcking Stoke!

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 That was comfortably the biggest game of the season and we've put in comfortably the worst performance. Drinkwater, King, Konchesky. You were absolutely dogshit. Would love to see their pass accuracy percentages. It's actually laughable. So ****ing dissapointing. We've made Stoke look like Barcelona ffs. How embarrassing do we have to get before we get changes? Left back needs to be the number one priority and a midfielder who can actually get on the ball and make a pass. Jesus wept. We didn't make them look like Barcelona at all - it was a terrible game between two fair-to-shit sides on the day in which one moment of sloppiness cost us.
The Doctor Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 You see this is the reason why non of us could ever realistically be football managers. We just don't see the logic in starting the game with two strikers on the pitch who have 3 goals between them all season, leaving our 8 goal top scorer on the bench and a brand new 9 million striker waiting. None of us would have thought to employ those masterful tactics. You realise of course that Kramaric hasn't played competitively for two weeks prior to today, and that stoke are good under the aerial balls - meaning a fast, ground based player would look a better option than a target man going into this sort of match...
ousefox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Stoke were shit as well, but just had a little bit of prem quality that we seem to be devoid of.
Vacamion Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 There wasn't *that* much difference between the sides. We had enough chances 1st half to get something from the game. We need to hope for an unexpected victory against one of the big boys, now, though.
Larry_LCFC Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Worst performance of the season. Bizzare team selection. How Nugent can continue to start I don't know. Hopeless.
KFS Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I know people hate it when it's said on here... but Stoke are so shit; how did we lose that? Their back 4 is so bad.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Can't help but think Wasyl might have got tighter to Bojan if he wasn't so close to being sent off. Would have been wise to get him off in my opinion; I have praised him all season and I really like the bloke but he was on borrowed time for such a long time, and I can't say bringing Lawrence on was worth using up a substitution.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Really poor result that. We must win that type of game. Shows how much harder the Prem is. And the game was won in the midfield battle.
