Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 No way play the reserves. This game is about getting some momentum and creating some chemistry for Kramaric and the guys around him. Huge game in my opinion. And if during the game they get some combinations going and play well then that's the players that go into the Man U game. Every game is massive from here on outThis
MooseBreath Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Almost as depressing as an internationals weekend. Hope we lose with dignity.
RokoNZ Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 I would be shocked if Kramaric didn't start, he needs plenty of game time to get up to speed. In an interview he did yesterday for Croatian journalists he said the speed of the prem was about 3 times faster than the Croatian league, and he needs games to get up to the pace of the games and also to adjust his thinking to play much faster. The only way to do that is against good competition in serious matches. He will be starting, he will want to. As for injuries, well that's out of his control Can I ask what it means when someone writes the word 'this' under a comment? Just that one word. Like Krama I'm not up to speed with these things. Cheers
walkerleeds Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 In theory surely Kramaric and Ulloa should start together. One needs game time and the other only played what 20 minutes last weekend? With the pressures of the league off for a week, this would be a great game to test them in you would think

FoxinNotts Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Assuming the following are fit enough, I would like to see us try a 3-5-2. We have been out numbered in midfield away from home this season. Schwarzer Moore Morgan Upson DeLaet Cambiasso King Hammond Schlupp Kramaric Ulloa It does however cry out for more creativity in the middle of the park!
Voll Blau Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Play the reserves.. This game is meaningless and we don't want anymore injuries to key players... I take it you won't be going to the final if we get there then?
Tevez Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Drinkwater is shit?!! Are you retarded? He was poor today but class is permanent.

Steve Earle Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 My team: Schwarzer De Laet Morgan Moore Konch Hammond Albrighton Cambiasso Drinkwater Schlupp Ulloa with Kramaric, Upson and Vardy to get some game time. But I think NP will go: Schwarzer Simpson Morgan Moore De Laet Lawrence Hammond Cambiasso Schlupp Kramaric Vardy

Dan Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Thank god, someone talking sense about Drinkwater. I don't think he's had a particularly good season but he's not had a run of games in the team, and he's hardly played at all with James, those two were a superb partnership last season. Co-incidentally the one game they played together, we absolutely dominated Spurs.
weller54 Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 I take it you won't be going to the final if we get there then? 1969 revisited???
Dan Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 What if Kramaric picks up an injury that puts him out for a month?? Then he misses a month and we use other players? Stupid question. It could happen at any time. If we rest players on the basis that they might get injured then we might as well just forfeit.
Sunbury Fox Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 I don't think he's had a particularly good season but he's not had a run of games in the team, and he's hardly played at all with James, those two were a superb partnership last season. Co-incidentally the one game they played together, we absolutely dominated Spurs. Totally agree with this. One of the real regrets of this season is that due to injuries and now a suspension DD and MJ have had so little pitch time together. Still believe they are our best combo in CM. DD as the playmaker and MJ as the engine/ballwinner.
yorkie1999 Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Hope Leicester players are taking note tonight. Sheffield utd press press and are matching spurs. Sit back and they'll beat us. One day we might actually work out what you have to do in the premier. Don't give the opposition time on the ball.
Guest MattP Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Hamer RDL Wasyl Morgan Konch Knocky Hammond Cambiasso Albrighton Ulloa Kramaric
theessexfox Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Would people take Adebayor at Leicester? I wouldn't.
Dr The Singh Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Would people take Adebayor at Leicester? I wouldn't. I don't think Adebayor would piss on Leicester either, and it's fair to say he will be playing at a higher level then we will!!
Dan Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Adebayor's exactly the type of character we should avoid. It just wouldn't work. I honestly think we may get something from this. We won't have a much better time to play them. Tonight's a good result in my opinion as it means it's still in the balance. Kane & Eriksen playing 90 minutes tonight also means there's more chance of them being rested against us. Totally agree with this. One of the real regrets of this season is that due to injuries and now a suspension DD and MJ have had so little pitch time together. Still believe they are our best combo in CM. DD as the playmaker and MJ as the engine/ballwinner. I'm not convinced 4-4-2 is the answer but like I say, we've played it once this season with those two and wouldn't you know it, we dominated the game. I don't think you can put awful finishing and poor goalkeeping/wall-forming down to them (unless either were involved with the wall of course).
ADK Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Nobody puts 100% into the cup, result is irrelevant as we don't particularly want extra fixtures.
Corky Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Adebayor's exactly the type of character we should avoid. It just wouldn't work. AVB knew he was crap and not worth the fuss, Sherwood got his usual five game run and now he's back to being useless. He'll probably net on Saturday though.
