Spurs away FA Cup

Nobody puts 100% into the cup, result is irrelevant as we don't particularly want extra fixtures.

What else are we going to be doing on those free weekends anyway?

Hope Leicester players are taking note tonight. Sheffield utd press press and are matching spurs. Sit back and they'll beat us. One day we might actually work out what you have to do in the premier. Don't give the opposition time on the ball.

Nigel Clough in!!!!

Only an idiot would put 100% into the cup,

You tend to spill the contents everywhere and could get a nasty scold.

I suggest around 95% capacity ,unless its a strong spirit of course

I'd try De Laet at left back again to see if he can reproduce the same performance he did at Liverpool. It also seems like it could be the only non-PL chance we will get to experiment with Kramaric and Ulloa up top together. That combined with Kramaric needing more pitch time before the league games means I can see him starting. Possibly some rotation else where too to keep things fresh. I think Pearson will go for:

Schwarzer

Simpson Moore Morgan De Laet

Albrighton Hammond (if fit) Cambiasso (if fit) Knockaert

Ulloa Kramaric

Hopefully he doesn't go for Drinkwater and King as thats a very lightweight CM partnership and hasn't really worked thus far. Hammond and James add the bite to our midfield and Cambiasso adds some class.

As this is a cup, and we are focusing more on staying up rather than cup success, personally, I would change the team around to try and give something different to spot strengths and/or weaknesses without it jeopardizing our Premiership hopes.

I would like to see something like

Schwarzer

De Laet

Was

Wez

Schlupp

Knockaert

Drinkwater

Cambiasso

Albrighton

Ulloa

Kramaric

I want to see Jeff at LB to overlap and also the same for De Laet. I like Simpson, but like De Laets attacking slightly more. I know Drinkwater had a bad game previously, but we know what his potential is. I wanted to put Hammond in there, but want a bit more attack as we need to start creating and putting away more chances. Probably put Hammond on later on for Cambiasso.

I would perhaps swap Ulloa for Nugent in the second half, and Kramaric for Vardy. Cant expect Kramaric to play the fully 90, give him a good taste of English football, see what he can do for us and then swap him for fresh legs to attack tiring defenders.

Well, thats just my opinion.

Reading between the lines after Pearsons interview today, I think Schwartzer, Kramaric and Upson could all start this one.

Upson won't start, I'm not sure he's even been playing for the u21s recently. Hopefully he'll be on the bench.

I think it likely we will try to steal it on the break and need pace in the team.  It would be good to see Kramaric given a full match.  The cup is important because it gives us a chance to play the squad and see if they are really good enough.

Does this use up one James's suspensions?

Yes. Although it might be somewhat of a bad thing because while we have more midfielders available and in contention to start, they might not actually be 100% fit right now.

I agree with this: with two attacking full backs, it might cause Spurs a few problems, and it would be interesting to see how Kramaric got on with Ulloa, then with Nugent or Vardy.

I really would like us to try and win the cup. I know all of the arguments about the league and all that, but I've seen us lose three finals - would just like us to win one before I pop me clogs.
