st albans fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Bbc text shows hamer with a yellow after the final whistle??
Eastwellfox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Arsenal fan at the game said that we were one of the best teams he has seen this season.
leicesterseddon Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Dno if anyones just heard Wengers post-match but he basically said its a joke were bottom and that if the boo-boys stop wanking over pictures of Sven and/or Pulis and get behind Pearson we'll stay up comfortably. Did he actually say "comfortably"? Because given our current position that seems pretty damn unlikely.
martyn Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Just waiting at train station. We were excellent, save for giving away 2 avoidable goals yet again...Will echo what everyone is saying about Wes, we need to jettison him now. No time to be sentimental. Huth was very secure and can play a bit to go with it. Thought the subs made us worse, we were far better when we were able to get Cambiasso on the ball deep, he'd feed it to Mahrez or Kramaric, and they'd create something. Sadly, our 4 outstanding players on the day (and the difference in class was palpable) won't be here next year if we go down. Think Riyad will end up playing at an even higher level than I originally thought. The decision to not start Kramaric on Saturday looks even more baffling now than before..
Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Wenger is just making us feel better. Truth of the matter is no matter how well we play we cannot grind out results, story of our season we don't have that cutting edge in front of goal if we did we would be sitting comfortably in 12-14th place.
Master Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 This is so tragic. I feel like we're so close to becoming a decent team.
roger the dodger Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 quality performance, we just don't have the luck but we will definitely stay up. are you p.ssed ! definitely stay up you must be p.ssed
Gio Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Does anyone else think that Mahrez needs to learn to just smash a shot occassionally and make sure it's on target rather than always trying to bend it right into the corner? I felt as though he should have been trying to hit that final chance he had hard and low rather than curling it Not having a go at him by the way, he was brilliant tonight (except for the finishing).
NewburyFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Thought it was a foul on Konch for their first. People blaming Schwarzer for their second goal are utterly clueless. Rocket, shot, ball moving (and had a good lubrication from the pitch-watering); if he tries to catch that he could quite easily palm it into his own net or miss it altogether. The first time finish from Walcott was one only a few in the league could execute so perfectly as well. Why you'd want to have yet another keeper change I don't know. Bottom line is we were the better side for big portions of the game today and deserved at least a point, arguably all 3. Really proud of the team today. Kramaric had his best game in a Leicester shirt so far and he seemed to develop a great understanding with Cambiasso who was also class. One major criticism for me, especially in relation to the goals, was the constant backing off around our area. Lead to the corner we conceded from, and allowed the shot from which Walcott scored the rebound. Simpson was especially guilty of this and needs to be more decisive and force the hand of the man with the the ball. It's basic stuff to not palm a shot right to the attacker, the shot wasn't that good. He's got to do better.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Poor old NP looks really emotional on the sky interview. Looked like a man struggling. At least he was honest in his assessment and not defensive as he so often is. Showing some vulnerability makes him a lot more likeable.
MPH Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 http://youtu.be/RRwkdoRZNGU Wenger describing mahrez as top class. Complimentary towards us and Pearson.
Sunbury Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Just watched extended highlights on Sky. Really proud of how we played. It's staggering that we keep playing well and getting nothing. Surely the tide will turn?

It's not just about cutting edge in front of goal though is it? I mean ok tonight Villa have dropped into the relegation zone but it's the first time they have done so this season and look how woeful they have been in front of goal, so they're defence has obviously saved them quite a lot this season. For us it's all over the field. Strikers not scoreing as many as they should. Midfielders not creating. Defenders messing up.
Guest MattP Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Very proud. We seem to go to a different level in these games. IIt's a shame we've ****ed this season on losing to crap teams at home. P.S. One Nigel Pearson

It is in my opinion, we have chances to score goals when we are dominating the opposition we don't, we then concede a poor goal or two and then it is a struggle to get back into the game, been the story in so many games this season. Defensively I agree.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Just watched extended highlights on Sky. Really proud of how we played. It's staggering that we keep playing well and getting nothing. Surely the tide will turn? Sadly though how many times has that been said this season? We played well tonight yet have lost again through individual errors. It is now 9 points from the last 20 games. This season has been too many what ifs and maybes. Playing well means nothing when you gift the opposition goals and do not take your chances. I will look back at this season when we get relegated as one of the most frustrating in my time supporting Leicester, very rarely outclassed but ultimately too many errors have cost us dearly both at the back and in front of goal. I will probably get slated for saying this but perhaps a managerial change would do everybody the world of good including NP. He looked on the sky interview tonight like a beaten, tired man. Sad but true.
Master Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Well looks like Riyad just got himself a contract at Arsenal next season.

Why do you think it's a simple case of choosing where you deflect the ball to? What do you think it's like to be a goalkeeper ffs?! The ball literally has to move half an inch and the direction it goes can change completely. And why had nobody closed the shot down? Tired of people on here always quick to blame the keeper when they don't really know what they are on about.

Was it Morgan?
Lionator Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Think the point of tonight is that Nige clearly still has the changing room and the players firmly behind him! Therefore he's the man for me.
Eskay Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Did anyone at the ground hear Ian Wright at half time? Was talking about how much he loves beating leicester because of the fans?!! I'm glad he's broke now the stupid cL1nt

Schwarzer and Morgan cost us tonight and throughout the season it has happened far too often.

Defence should've closed down the shot better, but it's come from a long way out and I'd expect a Premier League keeper to not push it straight to their attacker, near enough the only place where they could score the rebound. There's no need to be on your high horse - it's poor keeping.
