The Guvnor Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Cannot understand what Hamer has done wrong? Why is there blind loyalty to Wes Morgan who apart from the opening game has made too many costly mistakes? Albrighton not even on the bench? Playing Kramaric as a loan striker who will be running up and down the pitch just trying to get the ball? That's just a few reasons I should imagine why posters are getting pissed with selections
lifted*fox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Pffffft. I'm normally as optimistic as it gets and despite all of Pearson's questionable line-ups recently have maintained that we'll get there eventually. Seeing that line-up though, I'm starting to slowly lose the will to live. Are we not learning anything? Kramaric as lone-striker again? We're going to struggle, I think. Oh well - let's get behind the lads... BLUES!
Rushden fox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 a few things that are going to happen today 1. We will give away 4 free kicks in perfect aras for Mr Baines to shoot with. 2. Konchesky will be booked for taking out Lennon 3. Kamaric will win the ball deep in midfield and still be the furthest forward 4. Shlupp will hit row z with a shoot 5. James will score
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Sonethings happened between Pearson and Albrighton for sure
Max Power Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Five at the back is ok if you have wing backs with some technical ability but with those two and just two in central midfield were inviting pressure
Fox on the edge Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Its ok. Our flair players will win it today.
Jobyfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Never understand why I bother reading these threads. Full of wankers pre-match with absolutely no positivity. Get a grip. I'm actually usually quite positive about our team selections and have generally supported Pearson through thick and thin. But we're beyond the point where"difficult to beat" is good enough. We need to win! We're really beyond the point where we have much to lose by being adventurous. Rather than a flat back five I'd have liked to have seen Schlupp and De-Laet as overlapping full backs. Maybe some support for Kramaric up front or an extra body in midfield. Perhaps the players who have failed badly these last few games should have been dropped: I'd start with Wes and Schwarzer. I just wanted to see some indication that we were doing something positive to halt our desperate form with an innovative team selection - rather than just surrendering our PL place meekly. Instead we've got the same side that failed so badly at Villa. Maybe they've worked in training to make it less defensive and ensure that Krammy isn't totally isolated up front. But with the evidence I've got before the game starts - I'm feeling rather depressed!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 A midfield pairing of two yet again.. For fooks sake.
adam Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Shit team again. How can he pick the same as last week? Pearson out
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Yeah pointless. Only 2 from 3 starts so far... Christ. I think the point being made is that he seems to be good enough that with better supply (which is not beyond the abilities of certain players in our squad) it could/should have been even better, As for Albrighton I am no fan boy but you're being disingenuous by saying people think he should be in the team (squad ffs) only because of one game against Newcastle. Played well against villa and turned the cup game at spurs. The amount of whacky team selections Pearson has made over the years and got right is amazing, and he's made a lot of people look very silly by sticking with massively out of form players and getting big performances out of them, but this season he's far more miss than hit in that regard. It's not surprising people are a bit miffed before the game given Schwarzer, Morgan and Simpson's recent displays. Let's hope a lot of people are made to look silly after the fact rather than just Nige.
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I've got a positive, atleast it seems like it'll be easy money! Everton at almost evens Too easy! Just seen that myself
Fox on the edge Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I have a feeling this game might push you over... Very silly post. I think I fell off the edge last week.
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 A midfield pairing of two yet again.. For fooks sake. Can't understand a midfield two at Everton of all places.
Callabinho Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Flair? It's the same side that could hardly muster up anything against ****ing Villa.....
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Waso not playing is just stupid for me
Claridge Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 The team selection makes no sense. How can he not play Ulloa when we need to score + hes better at marking corners than Morgan. Mid field will be over ran all game and any clearance will be won by Everton. Team plan seems to be non-existent. Play me mates and pray.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I'm alright with the formation, gives wingers freedom. But why the hell is Simpson still in? Strange that we have 3 strikers but no wingers on the bench.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Can't understand a midfield two at Everton of all places. I hope I'm wrong but I literally cannot see us being anything other than over-run in the central area. I just hope it's not Lukaku time...cos he's definately going to get chances today.
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 ****ing disgraceful side, what is the plank playing at? This is going to be a slaughter. Nobody slaughters us, we just seem to adapt to a level which is consistently either 1 or 2 goals worse than the opposition.
the-blue-wildabeast Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 It'd help if he played well when he's given chances. One decent game against Newcastle in the cup has made everyone on here think he's Ronaldo.

dayday Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 We might come out and be brilliant, yet I doubt it.
hejammy Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Carragher hit the nail on the head. Burnley game letting that last second goal was a turning point in our season.
