Monsell1976 Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Christ you're a miserable Bastard. No manager's give anything away during interviews, and the ones that do are clowns such as 'Arry or Holloway who use the media to cover for their incompetent management. No I'm just a bastard.I will accept he's keeps a low key approach pre match, even though it's the same drivel, team, formation and result. What about the same drivel post match, same script every post match, same positives taken from the game. Sorry all I hear is the same boring shit every week. And the point of the reply, he's not going to boost ratings is he, he's will be the predicable egotistical pearson we see every week, and anyone who isn't a city fan, will turn over rather than listen to him. But I live in hope, he may just say something interesting, or they might find something he is prepared to talk about, as long as it's not about results, the palace incident, the spat with the fan, radio, alleged players, the sacking but not sacking, we just never know
ScouseFox Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 people dont understand the difference between game face nige and away from football nige. his pre and post match interviews, 99% of the time are to the point, in the zone and some say boring. when he's asked questions about his life, or interviewed from his home or away from that little fvcking corner of our ground or that boring interview room he's a great guy. the interview live on sky after we'd been promoted is still one of the best ever. he was completely fvcked and wasn't arsed who knew.

I don't want to know pearson away from football, I would like to hear him talk openly and honestly about the results, and instead of falling out with people over rumours, be humble and honest, and put the rumours to bed. It's funny how people who know pearson all thought he's a great guy, but the vast majority of fans, see what he's like in the media, and the only time we see a better side to him, is when everything is going well, and we have just won the league. Maybe that side of him needs to come out more, now he's in the media more.

Dealing with the media pressure is massive in the premier league, Jose at Chelsea is an arrogant twat, he's got something to be arrogant about, but he knows how to play the press, and as much as he's mardy, arrogant, witty at times, the press love him, because he knows how to play the game.
I blame Wellens Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Not that I actually listen to Pearson these days but does anyone know the last time he was positive about 'us' the fans.
CosbehFox Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 I would just like to him say for once 'i got it wrong'. I take it you didn't see the East Mids Today interview two weeks ago then?
Mike Oxlong Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 I think how he comes across depends on the quality of the interviewer eg the Henry Winter pieces were quite interesting. He's never going to respond well to the sensationalist tabloid approach of interview though.
Stadt Posted 12 March 2015 Posted 12 March 2015 Not that I actually listen to Pearson these days but does anyone know the last time he was positive about 'us' the fans.he praises the fans after almost every game
cc_star Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Pearson was on this last year I think. He gave a good, interesting interview from what I recall. The 'boring' label that Pearson is given is a myth. He gives 'boring' answers to the press just like every other manager does. In more informal interviews with guys he gets along with - various interesting stories come out ie the bear fighting story I've always thought this, ask Pearson standard questions get standard answers, ask Pearson stupid questions get stupid answers, talk to him generally and he opens up quite a bit and interesting He's given great post match interviews to Sky, he's given Henry Winter great interviews and features. This whole Pearson boring, Pearson monotone bollocks from sections of our fans is just as boring and monotone as Pearson is when he's giving stock answers to stock questions
cc_star Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 I would just like to him say for once 'i got it wrong'. He has done, quite recently in fact. Not that I actually listen to Pearson these days but does anyone know the last time he was positive about 'us' the fans. He always is

Izzy Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Thought NP came across well tonight on Fantasy Football Club. Yes, he's made mistakes this year and I don't agree with his persistence playing Wes Morgan, but I do wonder if we'd be any better off with anyone else in charge. Lets see if he can pull the rabbit out of the hat in the last 10 games before we judge him.

The amount of times I've heard people say if Pulis was here we would be safe. There's so many ifs and buts in football. The reality is that every club is different and this record that Pulis has is going to end at some point. Maybe we would have been the first. Who knows? Anyway in terms of sacking a manager. No club imo, should sack a manager if they're playing well. We are playing well, we are creating chance after chance, but not converting them. How much of this can the manager influence? Literally zero.

You think we are playing well? Wow. Take those blinkers off. 18 points from a possible 81 says different.

Performing well and getting the results are two different things. The manager sets out a team to perform and play well. The players then execute that and if done better than the other team we win the game. We have played well, created more chances than our opposition in most games but it's the end product which has let us down. Players take more of the blame than the manager, for a lack of quality when it matters

Players take more of the blame than the manager, for a lack of quality when it matters One of our biggest failures. And that's Pearsons fault. 9m Star Striker left stranded up front alone. Back 5 to accomodate Morgan. Simpson and Konchesky as 'wing backs' Benching our best defender in Was. Benching our best keeper Letting personal differences get in the way of picking the best team Tactics like sitting back on a 1-0 lead with half the game to go Sorry, but Pearson is as much to blame as the players, in fact more so, these are HIS players. As for Performances and results being different. Maybe, on the odd occasion, Performances merit a better result. But the whole season? Really? We are going to use the Playing well missing end product routine? Talking of which we might have an end product if we provided our best striker with some support. Rock bottom in March on 18 points. That is not playing well, from any angle.
