Harry Panayiotou

Surely worth a shot on the bench and a few mins, scoring for fun for the under 21's.

Pearson would soon change that.

You could just see blockhead putting him on at left back or something.

He has looked strong for the U21 squad, but getting your name on the goal sheet does not automatically mean you're in anyway a big contribution to the team, and to be in our first team as an attacker, Mahrez / Schlupp / Kram etc - you have to be able to contribute enough and I don't think Panayiotou is ready for that. I think he should be going out on loan for the rest of the season now / or have a season out on loan next year.

Tom Hopper is the striker i'd consider 'ready' for sub appearances from the dev squad, i'd like to see a few of them step up.

If given the opportunity, I think these can be bumped up to the first team squad for next season.

Tom Lawrence (100%)

Tom Hopper

Ben Chilwell

Adam Smith

Kieran Kennedy (Maybe)

Jack Barmby (Maybe)

He only has pace. He's a worse version of vardy.

He's pretty strong.

I don't think he's ready for the first team though lol

Ndukwu, Choudhury and Chilwell and the prospects. Hopefully some of our U21s make a decent career in the lower leagues but there's no outstanding prospect. I think even Harry only has 4 goals in the league that's not a great return and port vale sent him back after no appearances.

Problem is the standard of these u21 games are barely higher than non league.

They have to something incredibly special to be able to make the jump from this to the PL.

Look how long it took Vardy to adjust from non league just to the championship.

Typical Pearson involvement really, making sure our reserve strikers learn from his favourites at not scoring like Nugent, Vardy and Kramaric.

Pearson has a lot to answer for.

the reaction tom lawrence gets every time he's brought on this season shows you all you need to know, really. imagine if pearson brought panayiotou on for one 8 million pound striker ahead of another 9 million pound striker and he didn't win his first header.

Hmmm may well be, but he should be brought into the team when we have a positive attitude, if he came in now, his confidence would be shot.

I'm guessing you didn't see him put the ball wide from 6 yards out against Sunderland then? He's nowhere near Premier League ready.

I agree that he isn't ready but players like Nugent and Cambiasso have missed what people would call sitters so I wouldn't use missing the net from 6 yards as something to put him down on, especially considering he scored 2 in the game.

In my opinion, not playing Harry Panayiotou has been one of Nigel Pearson's biggest tactical blunders in a list too long to even think about typing out in full. He is truly clueless and I can think of at least several times when Panayiotou definitely would have done the thing in a match that the player who played where he would have played didn't do. How hasn't Pearson been sacked yet? He should have been given the boot the first time he didn't play Harry Panayiotou in my opinion. 2-2 AGAINST BURNLEY AFTER LEADING, I'd like to see the Pro-Pearson Pearsonite Pearson-Lover Battalion defend that. Your move stupids.

Yeah but thats exactly why he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad at the moment. We have some real promising talent at U18 and U21 level (granted the more exciting prospects are currently at U18 level) and now is most definitely not the time to chuck them in at the deep end. Tom Lawrence on Saturday barely got chance to get in the game and already he's been written off. The current climate surrounding the 1st team from our fan base is doom and gloom and we don't want to ruin these kids before they even get going.

Defo not prem i agree maybe give him time in some friendlies. not the best time to be introducing Lawrence when someone like Albrighton should be available to choose in a relegation scrap.

As a season ticket holder (due to a family 'doo'' I confess to not being at the Hull game), I have seen Lawrence a few times, and whilst appreciating he is young, he has, in the main been diabolical.

Was he pulling up trees against Hull, scoring, laying on chances left right and centre?

Because if not, I cannot for life of me see how he - '100%' should be chucked into the first team.

Harry p played central midfield last night, although he got two goals he didn't stand out.

Stankevicius up top had a good game, uses the ball very well, barmby was terrible for 85 minutes then scored a fantastic solo goal
