Sad story, but happy to know that his Grandad won't be alone in the stands.

I love our club.... It's a brilliantly run Football club and we should all be proud to be a part of it.

Nice to hear the football club at times get something right.

I would agree with the earlier post tho. Bet Jim had something to do with it.

He really does seem the most genuine guy.

Our club really does look after families who have lost people, even opposition fans such as the Everton fan who died 12 years ago every year the lads family receives a bunch of flowers on the anniversary of his death.

Makes me proud to support our club.

And as Strokes said, the club hasn't done this with any sort of publicity in mind. Its purely an act of generosity and heart-warming to hear.

Not many people know that every year since the death of the Everton fan on his way to the ground, the club send his family a bunch of flowers and a letter. And they were invited down on the tenth anniversary
