QPR.. last game!

Hopefully we play a side to win the game & not just coast home in an exhibition match.

14th is a good achievement, even if the season was a uneven and the wins to crunched together.

David Nugent will miss Leicester City's final game of the season, at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed this afternoon.

Nugent has made good progress in recovering from a calf injury but Pearson said he would not be risked against QPR.

"He won't be available but he has made good progress," said Pearson.

"He is now able to work pain-free, which means he is very, very close.

If there was more riding on the game there may be other considerations, but for the sake of what is riding on this game, which is three points and an opportunity to get beyond 40 points, it is not a risk we are contemplating."

Pearson said midfielder Matty James' surgery on his ruptured anterior cruciate ligament had gone well.

"In terms of the ACL repair it has been a success," he said. "You can't particularly generalise too much with these situations.

"Every player is different and the most important thing is the problem has been rectified and he is in good hands.

"He's single-minded and keen to be back as soon as possible.

"And fortunately the added bonus is he will be a Premier League player."

The only other absentee for City on Sunday will be defender Danny Simpson, who will not be selected while the club considers its' position after he was found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend this week.

Simpson is due to be sentenced next month but is appealing the conviction.

I'm getting really nervous about this.  I honestly think it could go either way.  Lawro reckons we'll win and Merse says we'll probably get the 3 points but wouldn't be surprised if QPR come out on top.  It really is too close to call.  I'm not sure I'll be able to watch and I know that I'll be constantly checking on the Hull and Newcastle games on my phone.  I'm not sure what it is but I've got a really bad feeling about this one.   :(  :(

Keep the good run going I say, not too many changes but as others have said take JV out the firing line so he can hopefully take his chance on the international stage (what a fecking ledge!)

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a dour 1-0, but I think we'll be taking it seriously as we could miss out on some half decent prize money if we lose. Am I right in saying a defeat could cost us three million?

I've whacked a tenner on Leicester -2. Faith.

£3.6 million I believe. I think each place is worth £1.2 million.

Not sure how that would be split  (eg would players receive some of it) but to be serious that could be an extra player for us either in wages or fees so it would be good to win.

Don't agree with people saying this could be another Brighton type game. Fully expect us to go about this professionally and end this season on a high.

3-0 city

This game may well be worth at least 1.2 mill to the team, but more importantly it is worth 20 quid to me. My brother in law is a Villa fan and I bet him Leicester would finish higher at the start of the season. I don't like the idea of having to pay him and listen to him spouting crap for the off season. Come on you Blues!

I managed to bum a ticket off a mate, and am coming over for my first live match of the season. Plastic or what?

No Polystyrene.

Can't really see anything but a Leicester win. Nige won't be playing a weakened team that's for sure.

Can't see us doing the same, a few million is at stake and I'm sure nige would love to secure that 14th spot
