U21 European Championships 2015

Does seem a bit square pegs in round holes though. Isn't that three centre forwards in a formation with just the one?

I don't think we have bad players here. Cannot go any worse than the last U21's competition which was a total embarrassment.

Got a decent back five, got firepower up front, just lack a bit in midfield unless Ward-Prowse has a blinder of a tournament.

Wouldn't be surprised if Liam doesn't make it, Chambers, Dier, Stones plus one more as centre backs.

Butland

Jenkinson

Chambers

Stones

Garbutt

Ward-Prowse

Loftus-Cheek(DM)

Pritchard

Bamford

Kane

Berahino

Kane, Bamford and Berahino all play those positions (Striker, left winger and just off the striker) for their clubs though.

Bamford looks so much worse in that position than when he is playing up top, better off banging Pritchard in that position, you'd get a lot more from him.

What channel is going to be covering this?

Think it's been covered on Eurosport in the past but I fear it'll be BT Sport covering it?

(I haven't got BT Sport.)

Would of preferred Loftus-Cheek over Chalobah, surprised Chambers isn't starting either.

Portugal should be our toughest test, Guerreiro, Carvalho, Bernardo Silva & Cavaleiro could murder us.

How've we been then? Not reading the greatest of reviews on Twitter.

they're technically better than us, as expected. and when they attack with pace and run at our two centre backs it gets a bit scary.

but it's been an even game. we could've scored a few from half chances, same for them. only clear cut chance of the game was when moore very nearly toe poked one into his own net.
