Suppose they showed their quality when it mattered most. Aston Villa are an absolute disgrace. They are the worst side the league has had since Derby. Their defending at the end was absolutely embarrassing, that's a side who've well and truly given up, anything other than a win there in a couple of weeks is a terrible result.
Donut Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Probably the only bright spot to come out of the season for Aston Villa are the sublime shooting abilities possessed by Carles Gil. Scored a peach vs us, and the goal at Sunderland was worthy of a status far higher than a relegation certainty. You also have to question the decision to bring in Remy Garde, and not, basically, a man who knows what it takes to get a side to perform in the championship. They have a real job on next season not to go down again.

Makes us look bad That was Garde's first game I think - actually thought it would lead to an improvement. They actually played pretty well against us too but were just totally hopeless at the back.
