Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Not saying I'd want Naismith here but that's a good signing for Norwich I think. Experience and a decent player at this level. Wouldn't say he is an out and out scorer though which is what they probably need
Jackster21 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Everyone goes on about consistency, Villa are the most consistent team by a mile and look how they're faring Chealsea are as wellSeptember - 1 Win October - 1 Win November - 1 Win December - 1 Win That's consistency but look how their doing
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Hope you're a man of your word - honestly, imagine thinking Kane wouldn't bag more than a dozen goals. Stones and glass houses come to mind... Ed Balls appointed to the Norwich City board - FFP compliance guaranteed for them then. Are you donating that tenner? :xmascool:
The Doctor Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Are you donating that tenner? :xmascool: Once (if) he reaches 13.
ajthefox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 If we are then fair enough, I think he'd be a direct upgrade on Okazaki though. Will be a decent signing for Norwich if they bag him. 18 goals in 103 pl apps, far from special. No real improvement on Okazaki there other than the experience. If we buy someone else for that kind of money they need to be significantly better than what we've got.

Being asked to play the role Okazaki is I think he'd be an improvement, far superior in the air and I fancy he'd win a lot more duels than Oka does. Scored some pretty good goals for Everton, actually surprised it is that low. He's a hard working player who has featured a fair bit for a top half team over the years and have become a reliable player. If we're looking to become a team that dominates possession / has over 40% possession in games, that needs more fancy players with trickery and ability to unlock tight defences, then he's obviously not what we'd be looking for.

Dominate games...ffs we are in the top 2, because we like to let the oppo have it, make a mess, then take it off them when its time to score. We go chasing possesion records, we are doomed for the bottom half..!!!

Phube Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Well seems Benteke is saving Liverpool this Christmas!
Livid Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Sunderland seemed to put the effort in but had no idea in the final third.
MC Prussian Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Everton are on the verge of signing Swiss attacking midfielder Shani Tarashaj from Grasshopper Club: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/30/everton-switzerland-under-21-striker-shani-tarashaj?CMP=share_btn_tw
Guest Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Well seems Benteke is saving Liverpool this Christmas! They'll soon be favs for top 4. Ars Manc purs Pool. :xmasdry:
MC Prussian Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 The neverending injury woes of Radamel Falcao. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/35203362 Rightly labelled the worst football transfer of 2015.
Wymsey Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Unfortunately, I can just see Liverpool performing well now - as they're starting to look quite good. If they had a decent striker (Benteke has been a culprit in missing easy chances) and another decent CB, they'll be positioned better.

It will be interesting to see if Klopp can get some of his own players in and get them playing better in the second half of the season

I'd rather have Naismith than Okazaki but then again I wouldn't be happy if we signed Naismith. We've been linked with a £16m centre half, if we're really serious about buying him I'd like to think we'd get a much better upgrade on Okazaki than Steven Naismith.

Is there a more attack minded Kante out there? Fast, ability to win the ball and can create chances and score them. Thats the dream for Okazakis position.
Matt Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Rodgers stands out the most imo. Leslie Mark Hughes Wenger's Perm And is Dick Advocaat that old his picture is a painting?!
UPinCarolina Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Koeman's haircut makes him look like a knobhead.

Leicesterpool Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 He's doing a good job but Mark Hughes is the biggest tosser managing in the league, the most ungracious, bitter in defeat bellend going. He's a good manager when put in charge of a club with less expectation hence why he's doing well at Stoke. QPR and Man City were big mistake for him.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Rodgers stands out the most imo. Koeman's bowl! Slimy Sherwood looked just as much a smug shitbag in his playing days. Advocaat's photo looks to have been taken off an 1870's wanted poster and recoloured. McClaren looked 60 even 30 years ago. LVG is probably the ugliest bloke ever Ranieri is the only dignified looking person on there
