Jimothy Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Have to say I prefer Spurs way of playing. They have some excellent players in that team, the one touch passing is devestating at times. They were unlucky not to go in at the break 3-1 up. If only they had a decent striker

yorkie1999 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 In the flip side you could say they drew against a side we beat 3-2 at their place a few weeks ago.

FireFox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 When was the last time in the Prem a penalty was called to be retaken? I can't remember any this or last season.

Wymsey Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Rooney named England Player of the Year. If he didn't achieve the goal record, I thought that Kane probably would've won it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35230428
CharlieCharles Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Rooney named England Player of the Year. If he didn't achieve the goal record, I thought that Kane probably would've won it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35230428 MOTD facebook page today was all over him saying how he has smashed the record and scores in nearly every England game he plays in. Personally i think he is massively overrated. Certainly should be at least 3rd choice striker behind Vardy and Kane, i would actually prefer Andy Carroll ahead of him as well.
ScouseFox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 not sure who else wouldve got it. weve played 6 "competitive" games an rooney scored in all the ones he played in, whilst breaking the record and captaining us. when we play such a small amount of basically pointless games it's not going to take a lot to win it.

Rooney only got it because he happen to broke the 50 goal record, otherwise he wouldn't have got it. As you say he's massively overrated. There's ten times better english strikers in the premier league that aren't getting called up.

AKCJ Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Rooney scored 5 goals in 2015, more than any other English player I think. Note that it's called England player of the year, not English. This is for performances for the England squad.
lestajigs Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 There aren't 10. Maybe 4 max only on current form, and current form dosnt exactly make them better overall strikers
filbertstreet Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Maybe 4 max only on current form, and current form dosnt exactly make them better overall strikers strikers that are 10x better than him I think it said
lestajigs Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 strikers that are 10x better than him I think it said Oh my bad! Errrr still wrong though
NewEnglandFox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 So Stoke is playing Liverpool in the League cup right now. It's 2 more games they have to play before we play them both within the month. Hope it says close so the 2nd leg becomes a distraction for when they play us. Hopefully Stoke sees this as their ticket to Europe. Liverpool might be in the same boat with how things are going as well.
Soar Fox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Coutinho gone off with what looks like a hamstring injury.

Sammy Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Liverpool have had 2 muscle injuries already this game, along with a lot over the christmas period. Klopp seems to have come in, changed the intensity of how they play and the medical staff clearly haven't prepared the players for it. Makes you realise how incredible our are with the work they did in pre-season and the intensity we play at/lack of muscle injuries
Dan Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Liverpool and Arsenal's injury records are bordering on unprofessional.
StanSP Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Toure, Joe Allen and Coutinho. Unfortunately for everyone else it's only Coutinho who is the regular out of those 3. These days Allen and Toure are only bit-part players. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php#c13 Although there are 4 out of 9 which are 'hamstring'. Add to those the 3 above and that's an absurd amount of hamstring injuries.
