Foxymcoxy Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 upgrade for Cambi. How does such an obvious troll last long enough to get 10,000 posts?
Guest Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 How does such an obvious troll last long enough to get 10,000 posts? Why don't you post your opinion instead of these nothing posts, I've sent you a PM explaining how you can block my posts so that you don't have to read them. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. I know how to block your posts, I don't want to. Don't have an opinion on Essien I particularly want to post other than he's not in any way shape or form an upgrade for Cambiasso. Different player and clearly not as good.

Just block me or don't reply to me if you can't accept someone having a different view of a player to you. Essien is old and talented, Cambiasso hasn't committed to the club it would be a similar situation if Essien is brought in for Cambiasso. We certainly won't be looking at Essien to link up as a midfield combo with Cambi - his only job would be as a replacement. Personally would prefer Gourcuff over both of them. He's young and talented but injury hit.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 I don't watch much Serie A football, what makes you think that 'the physicality that was his prime attribute, has left him to some extent'? Is it an assumption or have you seen him play recently? I've watched as many games as I can on Satellite. And read reports, both of matches and by supporters. He's not the player he once was, by most accounts. But I trust Pearson. We'll see.
Beliall Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 all i know is, if NP and his team are really interested, he must be good enough. i hope he comes to us

Jattdogg Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 So long as we arent over paying for what most likely is a past it player then id trust nige. Cambi i think is a totally different class then essien.
benpicko Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 To be fair Inter fans were saying that Cambiasso was way past it before he signed for us
Guest Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Despite having entirely different playing styles? It's the experience and wisdom. both are past it as far as playing at a high Prem level.
Stadt Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 To be fair Inter fans were saying that Cambiasso was way past it before he signed for us EC hasn't go fúcked up knees though
mugshot Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Seems past it according to reports from Milan You say that, many Milan supporters were sad to see Cambi go yet were saying he was past it ...little did they know!
rico Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 if he signs,i just hope he stays awake long enough on the pitch....... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/261864/Essien-I-sleep-14-hours-a-day.html
shailen Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 He was world class, but we cannot afford to have him in our team. Why he was so good at Chelsea was because he was expected to stay deep and pop up every now and then in the box. They had the creative players to make it work. Cambiasso had this role for Inter too, but he's proven he's got that quality going forward too. I'm not sure Essien has or even had in his prime. I've seen him recently and he doesn't look close to the player he was. Not for me
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Hasn't he had a few really bad knee injuries which he's never really properly come back from? Not the player he was if that's the case, but probably still good enough to do a job for us. See what happens.
Raw Dykes Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 I haven't read the entire thread, so someone might have already said this. To the people worried that this rumour means Cambiasso is leaving, don't be. NP will look for player to replace Cambiasso should he decide to leave, but that doesn't mean he is leaving. You have to plan for all eventualities. I always thought Essien was a very good player. Whether he's still got it, I don't know. I tend not to worry about transfers anymore. I trust NP to make good or excellent signings nearly every time.
AyewJoking Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Cambiasso and Essien aren't really similar players so I don't see where you're getting that from. Essien is more like James in terms of the dynamic box-to-box play (although at his pomp, far better), so I'd expect more that James is out for longer than we were expecting than Cambiasso is on his way I'm going with the do we want two 30+ midfielders in the engine room playing in the most high tempo league in the world angle.
whoareyaaa Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Good player, Injury prone though and obviously out for a paycheck if that is correct. plenty more fish in the sea.
MC Prussian Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Most foreign players end their career in Greece as opposed to starting it. Good luck at Panathinaikos, Michael. Aaaand... onto the next one.
BlueTillIDie Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 A great player in his day but unfortunately injuries have taken there toll and he is no where near the player he was, if he wasnt on big wages maybe worth a punt but not top wages?
Asherz Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Our scouting is done on a statistic basis is it not over 5 games ... Sure I read a report from rob Mckenzie regarding our scouting process
