ousefox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 If it wasn't a big story in Thailand I wouldn't be concerned, but it's headline news and there is a strong negative reaction. So as a club we're now strongly associated with racist criminals who have absolutely no respect for the country. The owners will do well to spin anything positive out of that, and their reputation over there is much more important than the club. I'm not shit stirring, these are the facts. Is it headline news there? I've looked at a few newspaper websites and couldn't find anything.I wouldn't be surprised if the owners managed to keep it under wraps with their power.
m4DD0gg Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 To be honest who when visiting thailand with their mates has not smashed loads of prozzies all over the gaff.
KFS Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 He might not be. We all know how supermarkets and shops display newspapers. They catch your eye regardless. This, and it's disgusting that they'd plaster this on the front page, using the words that they have. I fvcking hate newspapers.

st albans fox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Dear Mr Japan - you keep making comments I agree with and then assume something I haven't said. Just because you are mature enough to resist a naked girl chucked into your hotel room, don't assume a twenty two year old chap will also make such a well informed decision - we also have no idea if drink was involved. These guys were behaving as most of their age in a place like Bangkok would. Whether you think that's morally right or wrong doesn't alter the fact that it goes on all the time over there. I have no idea if they have partners. If so, they are dickeads anyway. Their treatment of the women is unacceptable. As far as I am concerned, their crime is to be abusive and, in one instance, racist towards the women. to film the event is crass stupidity but let's face it, they didn't make a career choice between football and medicine. The owners will have to decide what they do re their brand and club image. Luckily, they didn't have king power t shirts on! I'm trying not to be dismissive but would this be a story if A) they weren't pro footballers B) one of them wasn't person's son When I'm in the region, I see these girls and I think about their families etc. what would their dad think to see his daughter having to do such a job. A polite 'not for me, sorry' usually suffices. however, the girls generally throw themselves at you and I am old enough to realise that they don't do this willingly 90% of the time. Does a guy in his early twenties think like that? Does he even think about the girls' state of mind? As far as he is concerned, if she doesn't care who she is having sex with, why should he care about her self esteem. young footballers do stupid things. Not all end up in the papers. Perhaps the club would have been better to have shown the players a short education film about the plight of sex workers in the region. Then they may have had second thoughts.
Jakemoore Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Absolutely outraged. I take pride knowing our club is so well run and we'll respected at home and in Thailand. This has brought shame on a pretty faultless Football Club. The three of them need to be made an example of. It's a shame for them as they had potentially excited careers ahead, especially, Hopper. But they all need to be kicked out of our club right now. I'm quite sad about this, I have been so proud to be a Leicester City fan for sometime now.
MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Let's be fair. .This sort of thing is happening every hour of every day in Thailand... So it's not about the moral issue of it all, not really!.. The fact is, because of their own immaturity and stupidity they've been caught out!... Let them have the punishment (whatever that might be) and move on... Nobody has died here you know!! What? English pro footballers go to Thailand, partake in group sex and then film it and send it to mates on a regular basis? Your lack of a moral stance in this thread as well as you defending it to a certain extent is somewhat revealing. What does living or dying have to do with it - it's stupid, racist and utterly disrespectful behaviour which could cost the club dearly in the marketing/publicity department and create quite the backlash for a prolonged period of time.
MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Also I don't get that there are a lot of fit Asian women in the world why are they bragging about presumably paying to share a 1/10. Just doesn't make sense. They seem like dick heads. If they'd just had a Shane warne style tinder sex romp that would've been fine but they weren't very nice to them women who, fyi, are the main part of most sex romps. Knowing that this may sound harsh - but when a considerable chunk of the local economy is based on prostitution and when you have women in dire need of supporting their families back home, it's clear that character or personality has nothing to do with it. $$$ counts.
foxoffderby Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Maybe you need to ask yourself why you are buying the Mirror to find out why my club has made the front page of a red top

Not defending it at all. . But I wonder, once the dust settles, whether there has been a slight overreaction to the event?.. Suppose the next few days will determine that!?
Bert Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 I used to work in greggs, I'm not a bad person I'll always love you mate. No stress
Houdini Logic Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 The Pearson Sunday roast might be a little awkward now. Isn't that what was caught on camera?
aussie-fox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 people who film sex acts and send it to their mates are usually brain dead morons. do we need people of such intelligence at our professional club? I don't think so. Pay out their small contracts and forget about them.
midland_red Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Sack them all and do it soon. They brought Leicester into disrepute and it's as simple as that.
ealingfox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Bet the cvnts weren't so cocky when morning came and the knocks on the door started. Disgraceful behaviour. P45s for the lot of them and anything else that can be done to make an example of them, and we hope that the Club's stance is clear and received enough.
Dan Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 People making the mistake of comparing footballers to normal people again. Footballers are always under far more scrutiny, rightly or wrongly. There is absolutely no excuses for doing that and then recording it. It's absolutely unbelievable how anyone can be so thick.
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Well done mods, nice to see your watchingYep - bit awkward threatening women online. Enough now - you both were giving as good as you got. Leave this thread for what it is please.

It's not even having sex with prostitutes that is the issue here... I doubt many people care who consensually sleeps with who in private. It's more what they're saying and how they're going about it. As a few have pointed out, it's barely misogynistic and hardly racist - they're just cringey, slimey scumbags and that's why most people reading the story just end with a massive faceplam
