Webbo Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Regardless of whether that's true, and in my experience of going there it's not even close and probably hasn't been since the at least the 1980s, it's that reputation that the Thai people can't stand and I think that's probably why the owners have worked so hard not just to promote king power but also a more positive image of Thailand itself, with the mini cultural festivals and all. This throws all of that back in their faces and to brush it off as 'what goes on there' is itself at best a bit crass. Maybe you're right, I've never been. My views are coloured by a few documentaries and a couple of people who've been.

We're talking about 3 young lads who have never been anywhere near the first team yet seem to think they've already "made it" and are behaving like this on an official club tour. How am I supposed to let my 2 young children look up to these morons? They're supposed to be role models but pro footballers just keep letting us fans down time and time again and they get away with it and still receive a huge wage too, my blood is boiling and they cannot be allowed to represent this club ever again.

If it had been, that would be much worse because they actually represent our club, and it would hurt us to fire them. But, in filming it these guys have brought the club into disrepute and should be fired pronto. Same as any others caught doing the same thing...

They're abroad representing their organisation. It is not a normal holiday. If I had filmed myself doing something similar and got caught out I'd be sacked for bringing my organisation into disrepute.

These players are their employees, would they sell king power because a couple of idiots in the duty free shop did something like this? No, they would just deal with the issue. As for Pearson... If these were our star performers I'd be disgusted. In fact I'd be more disappointed as I'd expect them to behave even better given their profile. Fundamentally the actions of the individuals are both morally and ethically wrong, and I don't want such people representing our football club and city in the image that they have portrayed as human beings, no matter what level of ability they have.
