I personally know one of the members and can say although he's sound as a bloke he's the biggest anti pearson fan out there. So much so I had to unfollow him on Facebook

No I googled 'Bentleys Roof Immigration' and there it was.

And you glossed over the 90% of posts in that thread that weren't rabidly anti-immigrant?

I've just remembered Talking Balls. Does that still exist?

Just checked, and it comes as no surprise to me it's popularity had dwindled.

In fairness it would have been easier to find a decent example if Bentleys had a search function. :P

Total useless information, but here goes..

Engelbert...Started his career around the leicestershire clubs, became resident singer at the old Palais.

My sister was in his clique at the time, sorry no sordid stories.Honest and straight has a dye

Bentleys one of the best light engineering companies in UK, 3 factories in Leicester ,well known world wide.

Built m/cs mainly for the hosiery industry.

I was an apprentice there as M/c builder, toolmaker, I travelled the world thanks to them.

One of the last workforces to go out on strike, many still didnt want to especially the high % of skilled qualified workers.

Sheff, ex-chindet wwII . shop convener, my Pate during my apprenticeship. Though payed up union radical leader, tried hard

To keep heavy strikes away from Bentleys, but then Bentleys went from family run, to have dis-engaged uninterested Execs.

The good stories, best apprenticeships, had training facilties for WWide eng.workers including Germans.

When UK companies started looking for the cheaper solutions, and killed apprenticeships, it was no coincidence that UK

fell apart. Too many Uk business execs were looking for their caribean hols, not re-investing in company.

Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, kept and re invested in their companies, even though ,they also had major union problems..

, I assume it's Nigel-****ing-Pearson but I could very easily be wrong (and probably am.)

It strikes me as the sort of completely unfunny thing that sphericalfox would come up with.

You're right in what it stands for and it dates back to when he was first appointed the first time. Most people on BR were hoping for a world class manager and surprise surprise a team just relegated to the third division didn't get one they got someone they'd barely heard off - though one that had just saved Southampton from relegation at our expense. So everyone's reaction was Nigel effing Pearson? After his success , everyone continued to use it in a typically self-deprecating way.

inspector I used to work with when I was an apprentice reckoned his claim to fame was he used to share a suds pump with englebert humperdinck and used to go with him singing in the club. Used to come out with some funny stories regarding promiscous activities.

Nice seeing some of the old LCFC videos on there, but can't understand why such a large percentage of them are anti NP. Even reading there after we'd just got promoted and even now after avoiding relegation the vast majority have a long standing hatred of Pearson and want him out. Can anyone who posts on Bentleys explain why?

I read and post on both Bentleys & FT and to be honest i can't tell the difference, your all a bunch of feckin gobshites but i love you......

Up the City.....

There are many on BR that have a very dismissive attitude towards FT - viewing the majority of posters on here as 'kid's' & 'Pearsonites'.

They claim not to be interested in the views posted here yet are constantly referring back to the 'FT lot'.

At the end of the day BR represents a section of the LCFC support - broadly aged 50+ and fairly miserable.

A few weeks ago one of the Administrators was moaning that site visits had plummeted - your only have to look at the number of comments per thread to see that it is frequented by very few people - not helped by the abuse that is dished out by some on there.

Its all a bit sad really

No different to the people in here who aren't Pearson fans, the reasons have been discussed numerous times.

The main difference between the boards is probably age so those on the roof support the club rather than the manager as he isn't the most successful manager that we have seen.

I remember in the glory days when Foxestalk played them in a friendly.

Ended with one of their lads snapping LD3 and a bit of a dust up.

Didn't realise you had to choose! There was me thinking I was supporting Leicester when really I'm just a 'Pearsonite'

I just knew this one was going to end up on there this morning lol

The whole anti Pearson vibe of the place makes it unbearable.

Apart from that it's not actually that bad.

Don't go on there, if the Pearson vibe is not good, it's total opposite on here, no balance either way with the forums in my opinion, all those slagging the place off, all seem to visit the site.

Same for those who are on Bentley roof, that don't like foxes talk, but still seem to visit the site.

I'm sure there is plenty of know it all wankers who think they are superior to everybody on Bentley roof, and I know for a fact there is plenty on here.

Yeah, I actually used to follow Carlisle in the late nineties. Just couldn't let NFHDAVAA?&^$P leave my life though...

Are we really arguing about which forum is better? Not really read BR before now but I imagine it's much like every other football forum. There are idiots everywhere but at least our idiots and there's support Leicester
