st albans fox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 The expectation was that we would earn 70 mill so that's worked out ok !
katieakita Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Bet Dyche denies getting any of this and moans about money bags Leicester.
cc_star Posted 2 June 2015 Author Posted 2 June 2015 When's this £120 million kick in?What £120m?The £120m fig came from a minimum you could earn if you finished bottom & were relegated straight awayof £60m prize money for finishing bottom + £60m parachute payment over 3 years Think its now said to be £135m and that's not including increased gate receipts, sponsorship, merchandise opportunities
MC Prussian Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Wow, I do wonder how Newcastle deserved 20 televised games. I really do. Part of the Masochism Network?
ADK Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 So despite being monumentally shite, Newcastle got an additional 7.5Million TV money...
Wymsey Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 So despite being monumentally shite, Newcastle got an additional 7.5Million TV money... That'll go to Mr. Mike Ashley, then onto Rangers.
C-man Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Wow, I do wonder how Newcastle deserved 20 televised games. I really do. Part of the Masochism Network?Nothing to do with whether clubs deserve the coverage or not it's simply due to the fact they are one of the best supported clubs in the Premier League, will therefore command a big TV audience meaning more moolah can be demanded from the advertising companies.EDIT: 20 is the sixth highest figure and they are about the sixth biggest club in the country so seems relatively fair to me.

I can see where you're coming from - it's just that most of those 20 televised games weren't particularly great entertainment, were they?

Jobyfox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 I can see where you're coming from - it's just that most of those 20 televised games weren't particularly great entertainment, were they? I disagree. I found Newcastle's shiteness particularly entertaining - especially when they played us.
MC Prussian Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 QPR 11 times, got to be the good old 'arry factor. Same as Crystal Palace - must be London Pulling Powah©. Or something in the water.
NewquayFox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Norwich go back up after getting relegated so does the 'Parachute payments' come out of the play off final pay off?
C-man Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 The Premier League's official figures has us down as having 10 live UK TV games... Are they sure? Arsenal Manchester United Swansea Villa Liverpool Everton Newcastle Chelsea Any more? Fairly sure they shouldn't and don't count the Villa FA Cup game...
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 Norwich go back up after getting relegated so does the 'Parachute payments' come out of the play off final pay off? Their parachute payment gets equally distributed through the championship clubs iirc.
lgfualol Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 We had more than 8 tv games last season. And we didn't have any Monday night games which is pretty good imo.
Footballwipe Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 We had more than 8 tv games last season. And we didn't have any Monday night games which is pretty good imo. No we didn't, not in the UK anyway. We were the main game in the USA a few more times, but we were only on Sky six times and BT twice this season.
Soar Fox Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 We had more than 8 tv games last season. And we didn't have any Monday night games which is pretty good imo. I can only count 8 league games on TV. Arsenal (H) Aston Villa (A) Chelsea (H) Everton (A) Liverpool (H) Man United (H) Newcastle (H) Swansea (A)
lgfualol Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 No we didn't, not in the UK anyway. We were the main game in the USA a few more times, but we were only on Sky six times and BT twice this season. I didn't check any facts before making that comment. 8 just sounds so iccle.
Guest Foxin_mad Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 I hope we dont get put on TV much next year either. At least we didnt have to piss around with shitty 12:45 kickoffs or Monday games.

That's not including any parachute payments either that are factored in to the figures sometimes as cc said.
