He was quality when he was here (I remember going to Leeds away mid week and both Davies and Naughton were quality that night) and played alongside some rubbish. He was quality in a poor Birmingham City team too, which ultimately led a Premier League team (yet again) to buy him. I remember him gifting a win to Swansea after failing to keep up with Marvin Emnes and Billy Sharp running him ragged with his movement. He used the loan as an excuse to get fit.

If we go 3 at the back a bit next season we'll need new CB's, and doubt there are many about as good as him for £3m, makes sense to sign him dependent on wages.

Don't think the huth deal is dead because of this. I can see upson and Moore being moved on in the summer, so will need to sign huth plus another cb
RizLCFC Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 Huth was still in Thailand with the boys last week. So was Miquel last season, people thought he'd sign up but he didn't. If we get rid of Upson and bring in Davies, hang on to Huth, that's great business in my opinion.

We agreed another loan until the end of the season which he tweeted about ('Going back to join Sven's revolution') but then Brum offered him a permanent deal which he accepted instead. He did apologise later saying that a permanent deal was always his preference.

Thought he was very good for us, albiet only in a short spell. I'd definetly take him here, hopefully this will be aswell as Huth not instead of though.
