Bryn Posted 6 June 2015 Posted 6 June 2015 Apart from give 'Asians' free tickets as some patronising tw@ts have suggested I think you just blanket give free tickets to schoolchildren with the understanding that around 50% of them will be of Asian descent and that ought to filter down, really.
Rincewind Posted 6 June 2015 Posted 6 June 2015 How many 'Asians' are selected for school teams? Is this not one of the ways that support emerges from? Has anyone actually thought of asking these kids why they do not go down and listen and take note of the answers?
Dr The Singh Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 I think there's more than people might think in general. If the club, itself, was so concerned about the lack of Asians - they'd probably create matchday events that would suit their interests, such as Bollywood-themed things or curries on offer etc. Great idea, giving people from the Indian subcontinent cuisine there experts in at poor standard and music a lot hate, . My Mongolian brothers don't eat curry and and can't understand hindiI think you just blanket give free tickets to schoolchildren with the understanding that around 50% of them will be of Asian descent and that ought to filter down, really. , You mean the Belgrave area.Maybe if he knows Keith VazThat guy is a coont of the highest decry

Raj Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 I know one thing...bet Ashley wishes he hadn't even bothered asking!!!
Rob1742 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Not sure, and not really bothered. You could say there are not many farmers that don't go to the football etc. The sport is put on for everyone to enjoy, and whoever chooses to play it, or go to it is their option. Not sure we should pigeon hole anyone. I suppose the only thing I would say is that if we are talking immigration, I get disappointed if people who arrive in a particular City from another part of the world don't support their local team. I had someone in from Poland to fix my Sky Dish and he was a Man U fan. Disappointed that he had settled here, yet not embraced what the local team had to offer, and settled for the easy option. If I were to go and live in Spain, I would relish the opportunity to support the local team and feel proud to do so. Would make me feel part of that community. But with regards to Asians, as I said, you could say the same about specific jobs etc. it's put on and available to everyone and so it's clearly available.
RizLCFC Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Worse is people who are born in Leicester and support the glory teams, don't even bat an eyelid at Leicester, and generally think of us as a shite club, they need shooting, plenty of them about.

I remember during the genocidal attacks of the Indian government on Sikhs, many Sikhs asked for his assistance on various matters. Of course we were unaware of his close affiliation with Indian at that time, in fact I believe he is Congress agent, paid by the Indian government for services. I'm sure you remember the hinduja brothers incident, I'm sure he would ring the government agencies to find out whats happening with there passports for all of his constituents, not just for his very rich friends.Cooont, is related to the vagina. I can only judge him on actions i know, noone i know has anything good ti say about him, I stand by calling him that.

Very sorry for your dads difficulties , not sure how your dad can have two MP's though , Kieth has a very strong relationship with the Indian government , which is good in my opinion , as you are aware members have to register such interests and they are freely available for review , without positive influence things rairly get changed , i visited the Punjab myself many many times I understand the need for a strong supportive contact in the region , we will have to agree to disagree as I have seen much very good work carried out by him , but I suppose like us all no one is perfect and it's impossible to please everyone .

Are you his spokesperson or something!! Mate, you can believe what you like..........you sound very nieve, if you believe he is transparent, that's your choice, the facts (hinduja case) suggest otherwise, Keith registering his interests as with his interests with hinduja's means eff all, if your dishonest. Ofcourse he goes to your church and is a good pal, so he must be honest!!! There is no Sikh organisation in the city of Leicester that I know of that has anything good to say about him, nor endorse, or have benefitted from his relationship with India.........that says a million words and pictures!!! You don;'t need to be a member of a consituent to ask for MP's help, the Sikh Federation have many MP's helping them beyond any SIkh constituents!! WHat do you mean by supportive contact in the punjab region????? He may of done good work, but in my experience, he has been a destructive pillar in getting to the truth and justice for a minority group.

The Leicester East MP and former chairman of the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee (HASC) helped Indian Premier League founder Lalit Modi secure travel documents. It has emerged Mr Vaz wrote to director-general of UK visas and immigration Sarah Rapson to ask if the tycoon's travel papers could be made available. The Mercury contacted Mr Vaz's office to ask why he lobbied officials on Mr Modi's behalf, but nobody responded. Tory MP for North West Leicestershire Andrew Bridgen will ask parliamentary standards commissioner Kathryn Hudson look at the matter. Mr Bridgen said: "As part of his role as chair of the HASC, Mr Vaz is entrusted with scrutinising and holding immigration officials to account. "By seeking to lobby the same officials on behalf of an individual who is not his constituent, there are questions as to whether Mr Vaz created a conflict of interest." Mr Vaz, who is seeking re-election as HASC chairman, has issued a statement on his website. It does not refer to Mr Modi, but says: "In the past year, over 270 people living outside my constituency have contacted me in my then capacity as chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee. "A huge volume of cases have reached my office as a result of committee work, and there is a duty to deal with these cases in a courteous and helpful manner." Mr Vaz said 42 cases had been referred to other MPs, and 230 were taken up directly with the Home Office, either to the Passport Office or to Immigration and Visas in the past year. He said: "The majority of these cases were following the passport crisis of last summer. "I expected people to contact me about problems with the immigration system and other matters. "I actively encouraged people to bring to my attention examples of delays, inefficiencies and problems with the immigration system. "This is in the public interest if we are going to get a system that works. "Last year, during the passport crisis, I publicly called for everyone with a passport issue to write to me. "I then took up all the cases referred to me, copying the letters to the relevant MPs. "Even after referral, many MPs asked me to continue to take on the cases." hejammy Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 My son is a 3rd generation Asian citeh fan, albeit he is only 3 and has been slightly brainwashed (no Asian brainwashing jokes please). I've been an Asian city fan since I can remember anything about football and that was because my dad was a city fan, who also happens to be Asian, although a lot of my friends at school in the late 80's were also city fans, some of who were also Asian. Being Asian doesn't really have any baring in my decision to support a club with a city full of Asians. ..... Dr Singh once you've recovered from your heart attack (as it is more susceptible in us Asians) you can reply to my "Asian" heavy post
