Coffee Shops

Don't get it. People love these places, grown men saying stuff like "I need a Starbucks", or "got to stop for a coffee before I carry on any longer"

Pathetic, just don't understand it.

They have come over from America and you see all over Twitter and other social media, people taking photos of their caramel latte as if it is something special. It's a coffee, get over it.

To me they are the worst places in the world. People going mad for err, a coffee. These places have made people think it is some wonderful experience when it is a coffee.

I can understand women to a degree going in, those not working, socialising with a friend, but it appears men have grew fannies and act as if it is some sort of special event.

Probably the same sort of people who get a little stiffy when they have a nandoes, or do a little wee when they go Fosse Park on Sunday's, but I just don't get it.

Those on Twitter taking photos of their coffee is the best, as if they are doing something special.

Fair play to the companies for creating something that makes people act like a tosser over their products, they have done a great job. But really they must be pissing themselves laughing now they have the consumer spending £3 or so on a coffee and the consumer really believing they are having a really special experience.

Are there any coffee tossers on here?

I like coffee

There was a Starbucks at Uni and sometimes I would sit in there with a coffee browsing on my iPad.

Can't stand 'em. Such prententious places. They've completely ruined the character of Harborough town centre (and I dareay other town centres) as well.

Nowt against coffee drinkers per se, but give me a good cup of tea any day of the week.

Middle class human being buys overpriced, branded consumables and brag about it on social media, giving free advertising for the company they have just handed their cash to. Welcome to 21st century capitalism my friend, doesn't it just taste good?

I like nothing more than sitting in a cafe drinking a cafe lungo or cappuccino and either chatting with friends or reading a book.

I'll be honest, sometimes I order a fairtrade skinny late and just sit there, smugly contemplating how much it would annoy the type of people who see Richard Littlejohn as a serious, ground-breaking journalist.

Coffee is nice. Usually comfy places to relax. People have been popping into cafés for a coffee or a tea while they're out and about for decades, this isn't a new thing lol

People really are miserable enough to find anything to moan about. People buy and enjoy coffee, I'm sorry about that.

You say that lads but it's a slippery slope. Next thing you know we'll all be sandle-wearing gays eating vegetables and shit.

Got a lot of time for small independant coffee shops. Got none for your costas, starbucks etc.

Certainly, the family-owned ones also treat you like a 'family member/friend' and not as a number etc.

Don't get it, all these tossers overjoyed about the 'upcoming match' on saturday.

What do they get out of it? £30+ down the drain for a couple of hours watching a bunch of multi millionaires kick a small round object around a patch of grass.

Then you have some which sing songs, or even worse take photos. What is it with these people? What do they possibly get out of spending such quantities of money??

See....it really is easy to moan about anything.

I too hate people liking stuff... and having the temerity to talk about it with their friends... ewwww...

Next thing there'll be a place where like minded folk could get together on the internet and talk about their shared passion! Outrage! :@
