DB11 Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Yeah, he's that shit he's a regular England U21 International. Get a fookin grip and give the kid a chance. He's one of our own remember why did you quote me?
fuchsntf Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Within 2 seasons, Liam will be playing nearly every game in the PL. He will realise his potential. If he doesnt get tempted too early, he will stay at City and become a Legend, in the mold of Walsh, Elliot, Sjoberg and Cross. By end of next season he will have confirmed his place in the city defence. If he doesnt blow it.....
Izzy Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 why did you quote me? If he was awful in every game he played last season (as you said), why is he still getting picked for the U21's?
Captain... Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 why did you quote me? You seem to think that saying he was awful in every game he played last season is a perfectly reasonable and objective assessment of his ability and you shouldn't be called out on it. It isn't, he wasn't and you should be.
chapero82 Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Unfortunately fir Liam the only chance he had last season was when we were going through a rough patch, which made him look bad
DB11 Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Jeeeez everyone vehemently sticking up for him "because he's one of our own" is actually making me dislike him, I think I'll leave you all to worship him in peace rather than keep reading the posts and having it cloud my opinion of him

Captain... Which is just not true and it is pathetic the way our fans turn on one of our players, one who was integral to our good start this season and as part of our record breaking championship winning side.
Wymsey Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 What worried/worries me most is that he loses possession too easily.
Bamba's Babes Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 No reason to be dropped when he was. Remember vs. Chelsea (A) how good he was?
Danno Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 No reason to be dropped when he was. Remember vs. Chelsea (A) how good he was?Yeah proper good that was why he got beat for their first goal.
Bert Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He'll be playing in an international tournament in the summer. Not bad going for someone who is "not good enough". He certainly will be good enough, but right now I just don't think he's ready. Seems Nigel thought so at the back end of the season too. Also I believe many people overrate him because he's "on of our own".
Babylon Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Ask every centre back who played against Vardy this season. But we don't play against him do we. When we played three at the back, how many times did pace catch us out. Yes it will happen from time to time, but it's not like it's a glaring problem.

kane Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 someone told me he hasn't played for us since he got banned from driving , true or not i don't know
Guest MattP Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He lost his place because he made too many mistakes and quite simply as this stage Marcin is a better defender than he is in every way. Some of the things we hearing about him regarding attitude is worrying but if he does get his head down he's still young enough to really work on his game and become a far better player than he is now, he has to have the desire to do so though and worryingly not many young British footballers seem to these days, soon as a decent contract is signed it appears the desire seems to vanish, let's hope Liam is different to most.
melrose Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Fans have short memories, have all the people sticking up for him forgot about the schoolboy error that was Swansea away! Not prem standard I'm afraid!
MrSpaM Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 If he's not good enough to start for Brentford why do people think he deserve a spot in our starting 11?
Ollie93 Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 ...well he was good enough last season and made a good start to the season, but I guess it isn't unfair to say he hasn't been good enough... I'm not disputing he wasn't good enough last season, that's an irrelevant point to make. Yes he made a good start but the title of the thread asks why he is out of favour to Was, Wes and Huth? The answer to that is he isn't good enough. That's not saying he never will be before you say that, nor am I saying he wasn't good enough, it's the simple fact he isn't good enough right now. Was, Wes and Huth are better defenders.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 If he's not good enough to start for Brentford why do people think he deserve a spot in our starting 11? Because he's from Leicester and shows a bit of pashun people seem to get blinkered from the fact he's not up to scratch at the moment. Another loan season in the Champ and lets see if he can sort this rumored attitude problem and regain some form.

I also said it wasn't an unfair point to make, but the fact we had better doesn't necessarily mean he isn't good enough, just that he was 4th choice now we don't have Huth, he is third choice so that makes him good enough to start? My post was also just an extrapolation of the opinions on him, starting with yours that was fair if a little harsh, going to him just being called shit and awful in every game he's played.
gerrytaggart Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I think a pre season alongside a solid experienced back line will do him the world of good.
