Babylon Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Not the most reliable of things, so take with a pinch of salt. https://www.eyefootball.com/news/24021/Leicester-City-Carl-Jenkinson.html
ScouseFox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 LETS BUY EVERYONE IN THE WORLD edit - oh it's a loan. surely a loan is pointless. we have to give him back, arsenal have to take him back, he learns/gains nothing more than he did last year playing for a mid table prem side most weeks. LETS JUST OFFER 7MILL

Babylon Posted 28 June 2015 Author Posted 28 June 2015 Ok for cover, not sure about 1st team He played 32 games for West Ham... I'm not sure it would be as cover.
davieG Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 perhaps a loan with a view to buy or maybe as a sweetener for Schlupp.
LCFC FOX Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I'd take him but prefer to buy him. Jenkinson would be good with De Laet as back up. Bin off Simpson.
benpicko Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I'd take him but prefer to buy him. Jenkinson would be good with De Laet as back up. Bin off Simpson. Albrighton?
Stevosevic Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Think we're fine for the left EDIT: seen he is a RB, I'd take him
AKCJ Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 100% yes. I think that we're looking to set up as a 4 at the back again. Jenkinson Huth Morgan/Wasyl Fuchs is a top half standard back four IMO. A far cry from De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky.
Ed25 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 never heard of eyefootball, they usually any good? would take him on a loan too
davieG Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 100% yes. I think that we're looking to set up as a 4 at the back again. Jenkinson Huth Morgan/Wasyl Fuchs is a top half standard back four IMO. A far cry from De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky. I thought Fuchs was a considered a better wingback than an outright fullback.
lgfualol Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Everyone says Fuchs is awful in defence. Hope we stick to 352 and Jenkinson would help a lot.
AKCJ Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I thought Fuchs was a considered a better wingback than an outright fullback. He's played most of his career at fullback. Plenty of times in the Champions League too. I think people have said that he's not so great at Centre Half where he occasionally plays.
Bagworthblue Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 100% yes. I think that we're looking to set up as a 4 at the back again. Jenkinson Huth Morgan/Wasyl Fuchs is a top half standard back four IMO. A far cry from De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky. i'm not so sure - we found a formula that worked - so why change it. I think we need a squad to cope with any system we may elect to play during the season though. Once we kick off, we have until January before we can add playing staff so best get the players in to give you options to play a variety of systems. I think we will start 3-5-2. Starting with 4 at the back means you either play one up top or starve the midfield and staving the midfield hasn't been too successful for us thus far!
Bettsj2 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Kasper Jenkinson. Huth. Morgan. Fuchs Mahrez. N'Zonzi. Cambiasso. Downing Kramaric. Okazaki Ooyoh bastard.
LilPablo Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Ok for cover, not sure about 1st team Seriously? He was probably one of the standout players for West Ham last season. Had a great year and miles better than anything else we have to offer at right back.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 He's a quality player. Miles better than any of our current RBs - would be a great addition. Can't see it happening though.
MPH Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 We probably need to be planning for more than one formation... I can't help but think our change in formation surprised a few people but they'll now have all those games on tape and they'll study them. it would be a bit naive of us to think we can rock up to the etihad and several others and think we could out gun then on their own turf.. This would be a sensible move...
Gerard Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Well if we did it's the biggest indication we intend on playing with a back four especially if we're interested in Downing. Jenkinson won't be cheap though even on loan. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/11672633/Sunderland-offer-2m-loan-fee-for-Arsenals-Carl-Jenkinson.html
KFS Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Although I've just searched google and it's saying Sunderland have agreed a loan with Arsenal
Clever Fox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 He would be a good addition to the Squad. I can see from our signings that Nigel is trying to add players with experience and cover various systems of play. Although he's only a young player he has a couple of years premiership experience already. Another good signing of we can make it happen.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Would be very happy with this. As many have said, we will start the season playing 3 at the back like we did last year, but at some points things will need changing. I'm sure we will end up playing 4 at the back if our system gets 'found out'. Jenkinson in that right back position is an upgrade on De Laet/Simpson. Also, I wonder if he can play on the right hand side of a back 3? That would be useful.
Father Ted Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Good player and would suit our style well, either as a right back or a wing back. However, not sure what Pearson has planned here. As far as I'm concerned, Simpson needs binning regardless and not just for his off field antics. If we play a flat back 4, I'd genuinely consider Albrighton as the right back, I reckon he could do a consistent job there. I'm really hoping we stick with this 3-5-2 but early indications don't seem too positive.
