kingfox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Oh Eye Football are back on the scene, might as well delete the thread.
sdb Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 would be great, surely off to WH though? Maybe their manager change can help us here.
beemeroo Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 He's played most of his career at fullback. Plenty of times in the Champions League too. Djimi. Traore.
Clever Fox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 would be great, surely off to WH though? Maybe their manager change can help us here. + a salary top up and bonus for keeping us up next year.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Although I've just searched google and it's saying Sunderland have agreed a loan with Arsenal Now you mention it I think I've seen a report saying he was already off to Sunderland as well.
Wymsey Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 You know things have moved on well now being linked with Jenkinson and Downing, rather than Jason Scotland and Matthew Taylor.
ScouseFox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 why are sunderland tryna sign all the players we wanna sign man
Callabinho Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I think we need to discuss the long term financial implications this proposed transfer may have on the club.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Schlupp going that way for a decent fee and we get Jenkinson on loan to cushion the blow. Wouldn't mind getting Jenkinson but hope Schlupp doesn't leave, he was pivotal in our survival last season and REALLY surprised me! Edit : just seen Schlupp is on the verge of signing a 5 year deal. Ignore the above! ... Still wouldn't mind Jenkinson though, he had a good season and has a bright future! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 He's great - for a side like us he'd be bloody fantastic.
Richmondfox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Doubt there is any truth in this. I'm sure Nigel said last season that he didn't like getting players on loan from other Prem teams as they usually come with a loan fee, Jenkinson's fee is 2mill.
dayday Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 My arsenal mate reckons he is quality, gives 100%,interesting how Arsene had some nice words to say about us after our defeat at the Emirates. He could see we tried to be positive and that might have a bearing, then again I could be getting well ahead of myself and it's all pie in the sky
VLC86 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 You know things have moved on well now being linked with Jenkinson and Downing, rather than Jason Scotland and Matthew Taylor. So harsh, Matty Taylor was instrumental in our survival.
kingcarr21 Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 This sort of signing even on loan (cant see it happen personally but would be good if it did) just shows that Pearson is trying to expand on our tactics. Every opposition will be expecting a 3-5-2 from us. The likes of Fuchs and Jenkinson would suggest a plan B or even an away formation. Home Kasper Was Huth Morgan Albrighton Schluup Drinkwater Cambiasso King Vardy Ulloa Away/Plan B Kasper Jenkinson Huth Morgan Fuchs Cambiasso King Vardy Nugent Okazaki Kramaric I really like the look of that 4-2-3-1 formation. Imagine the pace behind Kramaric. If we see a team with both Vardy and Okazaki in there then defences will be shattered after an hour. I can see Leicester scoring many goals in the 2nd half next season. I like Nugent and wouldnt mind seeing him in the starting line up as i still think he can offer alot. Especially with the players around him.

Probably the worst formation ive ever seen suggested on this forum. 'Imagine the pace behind Kramaric' er Vardy?
artursteppe Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Everyone says Fuchs is awful in defence. Hope we stick to 352 and Jenkinson would help a lot. They do not say that at all. The word is that he is better attacking than defending.
benpicko Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 They do not say that at all. The word is that he is better attacking than defending. I've seen quite a few say on reddit that he's not very good at defending
artursteppe Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 I've seen quite a few say on reddit that he's not very good at defending Oh, so it is 'not very good' now, - not 'awful', after all.
benpicko Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Oh, so it is 'not very good' now, - not 'awful', after all. Notice how I'm not the person who said awful?
AKCJ Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Reddit . Must be true. /r/soccer's comment sections often make for hilarious reading.
NewburyFox Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 I've got a couple of good friends who are Austrian, both say he's not a great defender. He loves to get forward, has a great cross, can take set-pieces and has a lethal long throw, but he's not a very good defender. Sounds perfect for a 3-4-1-2, but I can't see Jeff being dropped.
benpicko Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 Reddit . Must be true. Are comments on reddit somehow less valid than comments made anywhere else? There were plenty of Austrians and Schalke fans saying that he's not very good defensively, and yes, perhaps that's simply because Schalke fans have a different level of expectation but whenever I've seen him he hasn't looked the best defensively either
Bettsj2 Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 We dont really need someone who's 'great' at defending. Just someone who isnt a complete fvcktard is fine.
