SecretPro Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Considering there have been a few times (especially after Feb when O'Neill watched from the stand as a guest of the owners it really wouldn't surprise me all that much.

RowlattsFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 no I know they can't bet on matches but wasn't sure if that included transfers and manager appointment. Although I suppose they could bet on themselves to sign for somebody.

Mikey Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Dunno how I feel about this. Would be nice to keep our back room staff to deal with the transfer side of things but will never happen.
itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Still floating between 4/6 and Even money on betfair. I would say this is far from a certainty yet. And even if he trades lower, some very very short priced favourites have been busted in these markets. The one that sticks in my mind was George Burley to Stoke (before Pulis I think). Traded at 1/50 on betfair but on the morning of the press conference decided he didn't fancy the job.
itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Easing back out a little? Could be anything Odds would suggest he's been approached (and possibly that he is interested) but I'd very surprised if anything was definite as yet. He'd be much much shorter than 4/6 if it was a done deal.

itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 they are 1/4 or 1/6 Not on betfair. And that's really the only market that matters... http://sports.betfair.com/Index.do?mi=119328070&ex=1&origin=MRL
itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 best price 1/4 Nope. See above. And the suspended betting thing is such rubbish. If you rang up Hills and wanted a £1m at 1/1000000, they'd accommodate you in a heartbeat.

itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 they wouldn't take it from an ex bookie. They wouldn't risk £1 to win £1m? Erm...
ScouseFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Not on betfair. And that's really the only market that matters... http://sports.betfair.com/Index.do?mi=119328070&ex=1&origin=MRL Bet fair were still close to even money when Pearson got sacked even though every bookie was 1/10 or no market.
ramboacdc Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 They wouldn't risk £1 to win £1m? Erm... nope. they wouldn't take the 1m bet for a start.
Foreverfox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 I'll take anyone's 1m bet to win a pound if that helps?
itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 nope. they wouldn't take the 1m bet for a start. Their liability would be £1, they'd probably take a hundred million £ bet at that price.
ramboacdc Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Their liability would be £1, they'd probably take a hundred million £ bet at that price. trust me on this. they wouldn't touch it.
itsaknockeart Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 trust me on this. they wouldn't touch it. You are going to have to explain why. They'd be risking £1. William Hill. Multi million pound company. Bernie would lay that bet.
Carl the Llama Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Not on betfair. And that's really the only market that matters... http://sports.betfair.com/Index.do?mi=119328070&ex=1&origin=MRL 1/6 on Betfair...
