Bagworthblue Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 bye Preki - i'll always keep a picture of you (well a picture of that psycho looking dude we thought was you) by my bed wondering what could have been. saves me looking at the missus anyway! All the best bud - take care !!!
Albert Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 What's Albert's Twitter handle? Could have saved me a full day of Preki Panic. Not on Twitter under that name mate so it wasn't me that tweeted
biggs Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 The Thais showed their appreciation for the fans last season but why so quiet now when the fans are itching for any news from them.......give us some news of when a manager announcement is likely to be given, even if its likely to be a week or so from now.......how long can they wait?
Stevosevic Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 No clues on the candidate's you know of Albert? Desperate times on here as you can tell?
itsaknockeart Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 All credit to Preki for resigning from a perfectly reasonable coaching position in California for a job in this country that doesn't appear to exist.
Bagworthblue Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 is the intention to try to keep shakey and Walsh do you know Albert?
foxychik Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Plan a and b hiddink or big Sam .... Plan c and d ranieri or KLOPP ?
Raw Dykes Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Give it to Shakey and Walsh. Safest option. is the intention to try to keep shakey and Walsh do you know Albert? That would be great. Just put them in charge and let them pick another assistant/coach as replacement for NP. They'll probably be following Pearson to wherever he goes next, though, I expect.
Ric Flair Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Isn't that standard practice? It's usually the case from what i've noticed in the past, here and at other clubs. The staff that worked with Pearson, 'his team/backroom staff' will remain at the club until; a) A new manager comes in - Normally the new manager would bring his team/backroom staff with him and the old staff will leave. or b) Pearson get's a new job and the staff will follow him. I think what he might be getting at is, we could be looking at promoting from within if these big names don't come to fruition?
nnfox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Radio interview in new york. Preki says that the people he is working with want to keep the news quiet until they are ready. Says it is a head coach position, not a number 2. He has been overlooked for a couple of mls jobs over the past couple of years but turned down a seven year contract with sacramento to take this job. Talks have been going on for a little while. He wants to play attractive football and says he won't be bringing any players with him. Actually sounds like a nice chap. STUPID PHONE. NOTE TO SELF: MAKE SURE YOU READ RECENT POSTS BEFORE POASTING
Xen Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Plan a and b hiddink or big Sam .... Plan c and d ranieri or KLOPP ? You're having a laugh if you think Klopp was ever a backup choice...
RowlattsFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I think what he might be getting at is, we could be looking at promoting from within if these big names don't come to fruition? I read it as noones bothered Pearson has gone, may include Walsh and shakey.
NewburyFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 This would be the greatest wind-up in the history of the internet if Albert and Qwerty are taking the piss and Preki is announced as manager tomorrow
foxychik Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 You're having a laugh if you think Klopp was ever a backup choice...Yep I am But I'm guessing he wouldn't have been a realistic first choice. I'm guessing ( hoping ) it will be someone with a Chelsea connection
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 the only time you should trust someone called albert is if you want to know where the bodies are buried
sylofox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Being told Steve Walsh is in the middle of his biggest deal ever. Jose to Leicester Preki to Chelsea
shade Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Being told Steve Walsh is in the middle of his biggest deal ever. Jose to Leicester Preki to Chelsea nah, too arrogant.
Blanesta Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Radio interview in new york. Preki says that the people he is working with want to keep the news quiet until they are ready. He comes across as a nice chap, unfortunately that's not necessarily the right attributes. The most worrying thing is the steep learning curve this league has, and quite a few new managers take longer than a season to get to grips with it.
Alf Bentley Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Oh, Preki, you're so fine....you're so fine, you blow my mind...Hey, Preki! Oh Preki, you're so fine You're so fine you blow my mind, hey Preki, Hey Preki Oh Preki, you're so fine You're so fine you blow my mind, hey Preki, Hey Preki Beat me to it, damnit. I think you'll find ALL the songs were pretty much done by page 25.
Number 6 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Albert, qwerty: if you could just give us a little bit of notice before the actual announcement please, I could do with making a few at the bookies...they owe me.
ALC Fox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I honestly feel for the guy because of the furore that has occurred. I genuinely hope he's a success wherever he ends up.
ScouseFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 hahaha oh man i really hope preki resigned from his job just cos of this thread
