A little over a week is not 'some time' at all in footballing terms when signing a new manager, especially if - as we're led to believe - the Pearson sacking was unplanned. And yet this contrasts with what he's supposedly said about taking a Head Coach role. This makes literally no sense. The only thing I can come up with is that he's involved with some consortium (Mandaric?) who wants to buy a club and put him as their main man. Otherwise, the logic just isn't there.

Unless he was contacted when they fired Pearson earlier in the season. It's likely they did contact potential replacements. Just in case.
