CosbehFox Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Must watch a different player. I've seen some class first touches from the man. Top scorer in his first season in the prem and people don't rate him. Mental. Anyone scoring 10 plus in the PL is priceless.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Recently moved house, short distance from his previous. Close to his mates and Kasabian Tom Just thought I'd share that
katieakita Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Anyone moaning about his ball control never watched Akinbadbuy in a City, played WBA once and he had an open goal from about 10yrds all he had to do was try and trap the fecker to put it over the line
Wymsey Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 Can be a bit of a slow donkey if he runs with ball, but is more of a dangerman than Nugent around the 6-yard box.
gurru991 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I have a horrible feeling that Ulloa was another player who looked better and played better for Pearson. Of many of the players we have at the club, I wonder whether Ulloa might suffer the most now Nige has gone. Together with Vardy and Morgan I suspect. Just a thought. I think the reverse my be true of Ulloa. Pearson did not manage Leo well.
ImBlue Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 We They (The owners) would be stupid to sack our best manager in years but it happened.Christ. Is there not enough Pearson threads without every thread off the topic being turned into one?Get over it, he is gone. Only time will tell as to whether it was stupid or not.
M0901 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 If you've never rated our top goalscorer last season that scored more than double any of our other strikers. I dread to think how badly you rate the others..... This. Ulloa offers something different to the other strikers we have. Yes he had a sloppy run between November and March but it's not as if anyone else came in and did much better. It's clear to see that he is a valuable asset both offensively and defensively, it'd be silly to let him go.
An Away Move Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Am I the only person on this board who thinks Ulloa is really quite skilful with the ball at his feet?! i can't quite understand the flak he gets. He's great defensively, works his socks off and is dangerous in the box with both headers and shots.

He's great defensively, works his socks off and is dangerous in the box with both headers and shots. He's just inconsistent with his touches. There were a few games right before and at the beginning of the run in where he gave up a couple of easy scoring opportunities due to god-awful touches. But he also has those days were he handles it pretty well. Thankfully, his shooting isn't quite as up and down (at least, not on a game by game basis--- obviously he disappeared during the middle of the season) or else they'd be gearing up for the Championship right now.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Linked with Besiktas in today's Sun... On paper he had a good season, got off to a great start and I am not surprised he is being linked with a move away. I personally think he will stay but if we can get 15 mill for him it would be hard to refuse as I do believe we can get a sound replacement for that price. He will be good next season if he stays, I can see with Fuchs and Albrighton wiping balls in, he will thrive, he's a beast in the air, just doesn't find position enough!
st albans fox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Linked with Besiktas in today's Sun... He can link up with Esteban there!
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I wouldn't be too adverse to selling Leo. But I wouldn't accept any less than 10 mill.
lgfualol Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Not keen on selling any players that have just had their first season in the premier league. Especially one where he scored 13 goals or whatever, surely the experience will make him even better?

foxfanazer Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I wouldn't sell unless we are committed to singing Austin and even then I'm not too sure. Scored some very important goals last season
Kent Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 As stupid as it sounds I didn't realise he scored as many as he did (11 was it?). Seems like on paper it flatters his season a bit. I guess getting the first 5 or so really quickly is why it looks better.

Kent Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 11 goals is 11 goals. Don't see what difference it makes when he got them Me neither. It's just that 10+ goals in a debut PL season in a struggling team (for a lot of the season) is a very good return. I just didn't feel like he had an outstanding season for some reason which is the point I was making.
Gerard Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I'd be quite happy to sell both Vardy & Ulloa for £15m apiece. They're both late 20's and will never be more than mid table PL players. Sell them both, get the best part of £30m and bring in a £15m-£20m striker from abroad. Someone like Anthony Martial from Monaco if we're going for ex Ranieri players. I know a lot of you would be against it but when players are at their peak value or you get offered more than their worth you have to sell and bring in another player.

Vardy's situation is different though. He may be 28 but he's only been playing professional football for 3/4 years so he doesn't have anywhere near the same miles on his clock as somebody like Ulloa. You only have to look at how much he's improved over the last few seasons to see that he keeps getting better and he'll improve at a more rapid rate than many others. In terms of his development, its more like he's 23 so he should be able to keep going for longer assuming he stays fit. I agree that his re-sell value probably won't go much higher because of his age but our valuation should be far more than anybody else is willing to play. I really don't get why people struggle to see understand this.
