This summer has been disrupted by ludicrously sacking our manager and spending almost two weeks looking for a new one so obviously there was going to be a fairly lengthy period without signings.

Probably because we don't roam the forums of every other club, listening to early stage rumours and following them through to signing? The first you hear about other clubs is usually when the deal goes through.

It seems that any other club get their done very quickly but not us!Because you spend your time following our transfers closely. You hear about them from the initial gossip, through the helicopter stalking phase, until they're pictured holding the shirt saying clichéd platitudes about how great our club is. With other clubs you don't actually care about the first couple of bits, just see the third bit and think "Hey, that was quick! I'm to post about this on Foxestalk"

Furthermore Pearson's future at the club had probably been iffy for a while due to his eccentric PR cameos so where's the well prepared contingency plans? I thought Rudkin, as Director of Football, would have counted as one. But, if he's really "Directing the Football" why does it seem that so little is being concluded? Doesn't anyone want to play for us now Pearson's gone? Surely it can't be the wages. Perhaps it's the prospect of football breaks in Thailand, and the flak they might get from wives and girlfriends left at home.
