The defence?

strikers look on point tho what a partnership that could be very continental

He's clearly playing 2 different teams for each 45. Look at the bench, that is pretty much how we would all imagine us to start the season. Looks like Ranieri has his first 11 in his head (2nd 45), and it's up to the first half lads to impress him and get in the team

Reckon it might be a 3-4-1-2, RDL and Barmby at wing back. Although that would mean Lawrence playing at CM... Very strange.

Second XI looks like what we might start with vs Sunderland, with maybe a different strikeforce and a new signing or two in midfield/on the bench.

think i agree with the main part of the bench being the first team but i'd say the strikers positions are up for grabs.

obviously the "bench" defence is going to be first choice, kingy and drinkwater are in for hammond and lawrence, mahrez replaces nuge. but any of the four strikers could start and id be happy enough really.

hope shinji bags today would be nice to see him and ulloa match kram and vardy's goals on tuesday.

Lawrence played midfield against Lincoln and was the most impressive of the four tbh.

Agree that this indicates that the bench is Ranieri's prelimary 'first XI'. Obviously performances in these games (and signings!!!!) could change it though.
