Football Manager 2016

I've concluded my summer transfer incomings. Signed:

Paul Robinson (free)

Gino Peruzzi (3.3m)

Eder Alvarez Balanta (3.1m)

Kristoffer Ajer (1m)

Andres Chavez (2.2m)

Balanta is already injured for two months after playing only one friendly. Looking to sell De Laet.

Balanta for 3.1m is cracking business if FM15 is anything to go by.

Any other big "finds" on this version yet, like Balanta or Sisto last year?

Andres Chavez is a quality player. Cristian Pavon has potential to be world class if you're looking for a left winger/inside forward.

That's what I played against Villa. Where do you play Mahrez though?

On that subject - what do you lot think about playing Mahrez on the left? It lowers his star rating a hell of a lot if you do but do you think it actually affects his performances much?

In comes Dede. Get in.

Been playing him down the right as a wide midfielder, means he plays a lot of balls into Vardy. Obviously not his best position but worth sacrificing him a little bit so I can get the best out of other.

Discipline of the players on this is abysmal. Huth has had 2 red cards and I'm 12 games into the season. Already had 3 players banned for reaching 5 yellow cards as well.

is okazaki absolute muck for anyone else?

yep. he wasn't playing and so asked to leave. got to January and I was offering him out to clubs for about £4.5-5m. Galatasaray, Montpellier, Fenerbahce all offered that amount and I accepted. There I am thinking I'll get some spending money - Okazaki says he'd rather not leave and is happy at Leicester right now lol lol.

Oh and to everyone else - I'm also getting a load of injuries. Long-term too. Mahrez, Kante, Bas Dost, Huth have all suffered long-term injuries at one point or other.

Started again last night.

I went with a standard 4-4-2, attacking wingers and supporting wing backs.

Sold Vardy for £17.5 million to Monaco, I'll post my signings later on.

I've played 12/13 games, I've won 5, lost 4 and drew the rest, sitting in 8th.

Kramaric is banging them in, Mahrez has been immense on the left wing.

Try playing an asymmetrical 4-4-2 with Mahrez on the attacking midfield right flank, set him as an inside forward with the support role. He is literally unstoppable for me in that position.

My first 5 results:

Liverpool (a) - 2-1 win

Southampton (h) - 1-2 loss even though we dominated.

Swansea (a) - 2-2 draw

Bury (h) - 2-1 win

Bournemouth (h) - 2-0 win

Currently sitting pretty in 7th place.

We are literally the counter attacking kings on this game, for anyone struggling try this:

GK - Schmeichel (GK Defend)

DR - Peruzzi (FB Support)

DC - Huth (CB Defend)

DC - Balanta (CB Defend)

DL - Schlupp (FB Support)

DM - Inler (DLP Support)

MC - Kante (BWM Support)

MC - King / Drinkwater (AP Support)

AMR - Mahrez (IF Support)

AML - Chavez (W Support)

ST - Vardy (DF Support)

Team instructions set to a very fast tempo with very direct passing. Very deep defensive line and closing down very often. Pass into space and clear ball to flanks. Play narrow.
