EnderbyFox Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 I'll be honest but that report from skysports look's like old news, they seem to be a day behind? Not taking anything they have said for granted. Think maybe the clearest indication we will get will be from Ranieri later, although even then he might just tell us that deal's are close? I'm saying Monday/Tuesday until we hear anything official? This. They didn't mention anything about us agreeing terms with the player, just said a fee has been agreed which we've known for days
sphericalfox Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Sky sports just report what's in the press and on Twitter, it's nothing new!! They've taken their time.
Lesta2014 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 We are set to sign 3 players! Mate who works at club just informed me, I didn't probe him for info, he text me out of the blue so I'm inclined to believe him! No idea who though!
Fox 4 Life Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Sky sports just report what's in the press and on Twitter, it's nothing new!! They do but they are a little more selective about rumours they discuss
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 This. They didn't mention anything about us agreeing terms with the player, just said a fee has been agreed which we've known for days Again... With regard to Aranguiz it's understood HE WILL SIGN. That's much different to the solely agreeing the fee story. They don't very often get these things wrong. Of course I'll believe it when I see it also.

Swarles Barkley Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Dont know what it is but still cannot see this happening for some reason. Perhaps its just what we went through with cambiasso but aranguiz and inler just seem too good to be true, especially considering neither are keen to join
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 If the stuff about three signings is real, two are Kante and Benalouane so the third would be either Inler or Aranguiz rather than signing all three midfielders. Still maintain Aranguiz is out of our league until I see him holding up a shirt at the KP.
Max Power Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Think Inler is the back up for Aranguiz. Don't see us signing both.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Think Inler is the back up for Aranguiz. Don't see us signing both. Isn't Inler more similar to Kante as a defensive midfielder as opposed to the more creative Aranguiz?
Spudulike Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Again... With regard to Aranguiz it's understood HE WILL SIGN. That's much different to the solely agreeing the fee story. They don't very often get these things wrong. Of course I'll believe it when I see it also. Didn't Sky tell the world that Pearson had been sacked which turned out to be bollox.
Kitchandro Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Didn't Sky tell the world that Pearson had been sacked which turned out to be bollox. No that turned out to be true, they reinstated him about 3 hours later.
Stevosevic Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 If there is 3 signings, it's likely to be Kante, the CB and the 20 year old Italian. I can't imagine the two bigger names are anywhere close to being completed if they ever are.
Spudulike Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 No that turned out to be true, they reinstated him about 3 hours later. Maybe, maybe not.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 It's incredible isn't it? I've got a mate who works for football radar in France and he says Kante is ok but nothing special, he pissed himself when I mentioned the comparison to Makelele. Said that's like comparing Adam Johnson to Lionel Messi And by the same token the bloke who founded and runs French Football Weekly told me he was a player whom he "loved watching last season" - you can't really prove anything with a sample size of one, the general opinion on the quality of Kante seems to be positive rather than negative. I agree that there appears to be a little over the top excitement regarding his signing but I'd wager dollars to doughnuts that's because our fans are pleased to see us tying up a deal for an area in which we are desperately short more than anything. Still doesn't mean there isn't reason to get excited by his addition, seems positive.
weller54 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 what a midfield we could have next week!!! King, Hammond and Drinky??
dpjfox Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 surely a player of his calibre would want discussions with the manager (who is currently working elsewhere)
Molly Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 And by the same token the bloke who founded and runs French Football Weekly told me he was a player whom he "loved watching last season" - you can't really prove anything with a sample size of one, the general opinion on the quality of Kante seems to be positive rather than negative. Still doesn't mean there isn't reason to get excited by his addition, seems positive. He's young and has potential. We need to develop that potential. He has great defensive skills though. (Kanté that is).
OhBastian Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 If aranguiz turns us down then inler will be another drawn out deal. At 31 he should just take the money tho and play in the biggest league in the world. Kante had the most tackles won in the top 5 european leagues from a midfielder so he would sit infront of the back 4/3. Then you'd have to pick kingy or drinkwater alongside him with Mahrez behind a two or in an advanced wide role. Altho.....if hell freezes over and we get our man... Midfield... Mahrez Kante Drinkwater Schlupp Aranguiz Wow
Callabinho Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Aranguiz won't turn it down. The club want the money, so they will force the move.
OhBastian Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 If thats true and it happens i can honestly see us pushing for a top 10 finish...if we play like we did for the last 10 games.
