Stevosevic Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Been in the pipeline for a long time. Good luck, we may need him back when we get relegated and Kasper leaves

LCFC FOX Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 He's better than schwarzer but if Hamer wants first team football then fair play to him.
M0901 Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 I'm a very optimistic supporter and support every player at our club.. But, for the love of God, Ben Hamer should easily be our number two. Great move for him personally because he'll be playing every week, but I really, really don't rate Schwarzer.
Callabinho Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Not bothered to be honest. Pearson also wanted him gone before people start hammering Ranieri.
ozleicester Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 We have a recall option, so i assume if injury hits....
LAprice_ Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Both Pearson and Ranieri have opted for Schwarzer ahead of Hamer. They both have a lot more experience than any of us when it comes to making decisions like this. Why can't we just trust their judgement? Hamer needs game time to allow him to develop. Schwarzer doesn't. Win win situation for all involved.
Finn Claw II Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Keeps him match fit, if Kasper get injured he can surely be recalled. Schwarzer can keep then bench warm
Ozwin Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Fair play to him. Would have been nice to have him fight for his place under this new set up, but maybe he saw his chance to actually play for a bit and took it.

Stevosevic Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 We'll get another keeper in. Or we could be moving Smith up the pecking order...
HankMarvin Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Good move for him. What are those vest straps for? I've wondered if it's to help aid player's posture? Resistance training, straps around shoulders so he isn't restrained just my stomach
LCCFox96 Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Good move for him and a good move for us with the recall clause. He's a decent goalkeeper and deserves some form of first team opportunity. We thin the squad out a bit, as we already have 2 well established goalkeepers, and we can assume Forest will contribute some wages, so free up a bit more money to contribute to a potential new signing's (hopefully one arrives bloody soon!) wage packet. Callabinho Posted 25 July 2015 Share Posted 25 July 2015 Hamer wasn't that good anyway. One or two decent saves but his distribution is amongst the worst I've ever seen at the KP, which is a major weakness in this league..... **** me forest will enjoy watching him and Mills next season! Being very harsh to Hamer I think there. He didn't put a foot wrong when he was in goal. Hasn't moaned about not being in the starting 11 & always seems to have a smile on his face. Good professional who needs some playing time!
