Kante will have to fight for a starting place, yes.

Sorry but Inler is different gravy.

I thought I'd put to the test how big a name Inler is this morning. I'm in Spain and met up in the bar with a bunch of neighbours, football fans for an early lunch, and they were all bickering about Barcelona getting hammered the other day. So I just dropped in that my side were signing Inler and nobody had a clue who he was. They did know Ranieri, Cambiasso of course, and even Pearson (the guy who strangles people), but that was all. And nobody can ever pronounce Leicester.

RE King and Drinky I think some of you need to calm down a bit, we're two games in and yes they have both played well but there will come a time when they have a stinker. We need to replace the quality that has left with Esteban and Inler will do just that, it's still early days and Inler in my opinion will end up being one of the key figures as will Kante.

No room for a sentimental attitude in the Premier league, you can't turn your nose up at quality just because you want to play the British lads.

And I don't want to hear this tosh like "Napoli fans say this", the same things were said about Cambiasso, but when he came here he had a responsibility to be the leader of you like, so will Inler it's that that brings the best qualities out of a player of Inler's ilk.

You watch Napoli a lot?

Not alot to be honest but he's played for decent sides in Italy and won cups with Napoli. Captain of the Swiss side that's not bad what's not to like.

If Inler is ours he should certainly be given a chance to prove what he can do before people trot out that King and Drinky are as good or better.

The more depth we have in our squad the better. It's a squad game and we will need that strength in depth to consolidate mid table let alone push for Europe.

To cut that a little short, we can stay there if we play sunderland and west ham every week :P do you think our squad is capable of achieving europa league?

Strangely, during the first two thirds of last season i was more concerned when we played teams in the bottom third than I was when we took on the better sides. And yes I do think we can make Europa :League. Especially with the new players we've signed seemingly integrating quite quickly and the prospective signings we've still to complete. I don't say we will but I do say we can. Leicester weren't thrashed by anyone in the Premiership last season and we seem to be a tougher prospect this time.

Thats what I'm gettin at, with the new signings and prospective signings maybe we can, which is why I'm saying we do need them (inler especially), some people were saying they think we don't need them.. Because ak and dd have played well for a few games last year and the first two this year

How many weeks do we have to sit in total domination at the top of the biggest league in world football before this fella gets the message?!

On that basis, let's hope the fella never gets the message and we continue to stay top ;)

Nobody should walk into our side no matter what their history. Inler is a proven talent but he will have to impress in training and demonstrate match fitness to get in. DD has been a surprise package in the last two games and has done a good job so I can't see him being removed for anyone unless that changes.

I'm loving the strength of our bench this season, we'll need all of them to cope with fixture congestion and injuries.

Drinkwater and King have been great when called upon (as was Hammond last year), but CR probably sees Inler/Kante as the no 1 central partnership, imo lets see them perform then see if we still harp on about Drinky/King

I am though less excited at Inler arriving & more excited about Kingy and DD - they have been immense. The real test is when we come up against the better quality sides......

I think Inler will be more preferred against better opposition midfield than lower standing ones, compared to King and Drinkwater imo.

Like Cambiasso, it's likely that he knows what to expect from better-quality midfield and possesses the knowledge in how to counteract them.

Does anyone have anything they can share with us about this transfer?

This forums 'itk's have clearly been kept at arms length on this one.

Any info, anyone? Is he in the country?

No one is harping on mate. They have played extremely well and have picked up praise because if it.

Also how do you know what ranieri sees as his preferred choice??...especially considering that one of the two you mention doesnt even play for us atm.

Have a word.

To echo many people - what is going on with this? It's down as a done deal in many media outlets but there has been no sniff of a confirmation from the man or within the club....

Can anyone 'in the know' or at least familiar with the situation shed some light?

Even by today's standards this has been horrendous for dragging on way longer than necessary
