The whole world smiles Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Great servant for us, haven't got a bad word to say about the bloke. Top professional. Just can't cut it for us no more! Surprised about Bristol City however as they like attacking full backs who swing In a good cross, can see him being back up to Greg Cunningham there. Greg Cunningham has gone to Preston mate, he couldn't get a game at Bristol they have a young lad called Joe Bryan whose shit hot, so maybe Konchesky has gone there as back up.
RedSoxUK Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Always gave his best, great happy guy, some much needed experience for the other lads and the girls loved him. But lets not kid ourselves, he was playing far beyond his level last season, and was a targeted weak spot from day one.
Rasmic123 Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Best of luck to him, will be a good signing for them, a good championship defender who didn't look too out of his depth last season (despite what the morons on this forum would say).
MC Prussian Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 No matter where he'll end up, I'd like to praise Konchesky for his reliability and for adding a few great and/or important goals, too. However, at his age and with the current level of the game in the Premier League, it was no wonder he got found out on numerous occasions. I wish him well on his future journey and that he can play competitive football for another couple of years to come.
TJB-fox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 No matter what any Konch-hater says or thinks, he played a major part in one of our most successful ever sides! Top guy and a lot better than how some made him out to be.
Bamba's Babes Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Has he gone yet or are we still paying his over-priced wages?
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Greg Cunningham has gone to Preston mate, he couldn't get a game at Bristol they have a young lad called Joe Bryan whose shit hot, so maybe Konchesky has gone there as back up. Didn't know that. I actually rated Cunningham whilst he was here to be honest!
Foreverfox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 I say good luck to Konch. Always gave 100% as nobody could dispute. And is that not what we demand from the players that represent your club? He did not pick the team so the fact that he was selected to do a job in the Premier league was not his doing it was the manager. So even if his legs had gone and was not replaced in time you can not hold him responsible for team selection. He turned up to do his job to the best of his ability and give his all to earn his wages and he did that.Again people moaning about his wages still being at the club?-In the clubs opinion he earned his contracts, what is he supposed to do? Turn around and say erm...no i don't think i'm worth that please put me on 10k a week less? I do not believe anyone would turn around to there employers and do that. Fact is he is a professional footballer who turned up to do a job and play to the best of his ability when called upon and he did that. If you have a team full of players with of Paul Konchesky's commitment to the cause you would not go far wrong.
RedSoxUK Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Has he gone yet or are we still paying his over-priced wages? Sven's fault. He took a wage cut when we got promoted.
Stevosevic Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Agree entirely with DavieG - Konch has been an excellent and mostly reliable servant during a period of progress which may well have heralded the most exciting period of our history so far. He's played his part and deserves our thanks and heartfelt best wishes for the future. Well said.
MPH Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 He's been an excellent player for us. Itis time for him to move on. Hope he goes somewhere he wants to be and has a good final season or two. Thanks Paul. i think Excellent might be pushing it a bit. Had some good games and scored some good goals.. Been a model professional. All the best in the future, Paul!!
Molly Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 i think Excellent might be pushing it a bit. Had some good games and scored some good goals.. Been a model professional. All the best in the future, Paul!! In his early days he was one of the best we had in the team week in week out. Still it's easy to put a player down isn't it?

Don't think he's putting him down. I think Konchesky has been ok, personally I wouldn't say "excellent" but it's how you want to define a word I guess.
Lambert09 Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Time to get payback for Maynard, 7 mill and a 200 page thread or no deal!
SomalianFox15 Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 His goal against Wolves was fantastic. A cracker from Konchesky.
Spudulike Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 I suppose that he must be 4th choice by now (after Fuchs, Schlupp and Chilwell). Actually probably not even that as Ranieri doesn't want him.
JP the Fox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 As a staunch Atheist I am regularly denying any existance of a God...but this...this has made me question my beliefs. Thank you (Man in the sky*) **** off Konch *To whom I still don't believe in FTR
Jobyfox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 As a staunch Atheist I am regularly denying any existance of a God...but this...this has made me question my beliefs. Thank you (Man in the sky*) **** off Konch Well if you're as disrespectful to him as you are someone who has been a great servant to our club (whatever you think of his ability), then I doubt God will be that bothered somehow!
AKCJ Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Best years behind him now but Konchesky has been solid enough for us. A few mistakes here and there, nothing out the blue. We'd have kept him if that were the case. Unfortunately it's 2/3 big errors per game with Konchesky. Great servant to the club and i'll happily buy him a beer if I bump into him but he's a liability at Premier League level. I hope he does well in Bristol.
sphericalfox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Those who are slagging Konchesky simply must be fairweather fans, because as far as I can remember PK has been nothing but a professional, and has contributed plenty in our eventual promotion. Yes, he's had bad games, and fits of bad form, but name a player who hasn't. The positive contribution he has provided the club outweighs all of that. His legs were going in our promotion season, and it was evident that competing at this level was going to be a stretch for him. I personally believe he can leave with his head high, and should in my view be thanked for his time here, not lambasted with childish abuse. Good luck to him!

norwichfox Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Good luck to him, he's turned up and done a fair job for us on many occasions...with the odd error. I think I can remember making a mistake myself once or as it twice?
