foxfanazer Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 But most think he has plenty to prove and isn't a top four playerHe does still have a lot to prove but he's got such natural ability it will come. Consistency has been Riyad's biggest downfall in a city shirt but so far 2015 he's looked amazing
fleckneymike Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 But most think he has plenty to prove and isn't a top four player I would agree and that is why the TV deal will make it harder for him to be taken from us. Those in and around the top 6 could entice him should they wish, as could top 2/3 teams on the continent but otherwise there is little incentive for him to move beyond prestige or the chance to play in European competition.
ScouseFox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 But most of the comments from the utd and citeh forums think he has plenty to prove and isn't a top four player yeah but they're idiots. he's the best player in the league by a distance.

AjcW Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Thierry Henry just said something interesting in a program about his greatest game "I tried crazy things because if I messed up my team was there to back me up" I wonder if Mahrez feels more like he has freedom this season because there is added quality around him to make up for if he misses a chance or misses when he should have passed etc. Certainly playing with more freedom this year for sure!
Wymsey Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 What impresses me the most, is how he turns-in on defenders and tricks defenders - it's quite a rare skill to have and one that is crucial, particularly if shooting is one of their other strengths. I've also noticed that his crossing ability has improved over time.
Nalis Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Had to love Ranieri's response though when asked how much he thought Mahrez was worth. 'Nothing, because we're not selling him'

Guest Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 If Berahino is £25m then when the inevitable bids come next summer we should be slapping £40m on him
Unabomber Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Lamela cost £30m and Mahrez is ten times better so he is worth like £46m at least.

whoareyaaa Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Sure I seen him driving a spanking new silver Merc on the way home was looking like a boss.
ramboacdc Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 "After having the entire room laughing Ranieri ended the press conference by confirming Riyad Mahrez is not for sale - ‘the club doesn’t need money’."
