Merging Cultures Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 King is a bit light weight is all. Plus Kante has to start at some point. He will. I'd imagine Kante gets more game time today, and will start next game.
ozleicester Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Unchanged... wheres that tinkerman?? Like it, COYB
mikey54 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Happy with this - plenty of options within the starting XI and more from the bench
FireFox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Does anyone know what is going on with Wasyl? He's not even on the bench, AGAIN. WTF?He did travel, so I assume he is fit, and Claudio would just rather have Yohan on the bench.
Crinklyfox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 I accept that we have flexibility within the side and can go to three at the back but this looks like a 4-4-2 start to me and I hope it doesn't backfire on us. We're a lot more assured with three at the back IMO and I wouldn't want us to leak a goal or two before reverting to our most successful formation. We were a threat last week but looked shaky at the start.

Tom17LCFC Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Oxfords gonna score today I can sense it. Reckon we'll snatch something though.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Oxfords gonna score today I can sense it. Reckon we'll snatch something though. Put a fiver on Oxford of you are the confident, he is more of a midfield general by the looks of things than a goal scorer
Witch Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Better cover for De Laet I would guess. I don't get Ranieri's way of thinking then. How Benalouane is better than Wasyl? Duh.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Better cover for De Laet I would guess. Indeed... players that can play several positions are always better subs I don't get Ranieri's way of thinking then. How Benalouane is better than Wasyl? Duh. More down to the different positions benalouane can play...
UPinCarolina Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Would have swapped King for Kante. The Guardian's match preview actually projected Kante as starting today, prior to the XI being released. I have to think that if we time the subs off of the bench right that we can keep a torrid pace all game up front. Tinker might not be making a horrible decision there, but I too thought that Kante would get the chance to impact the match from the outset.
Master Fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Oxford is going to get dealt a serious lesson from Kingy and Drinky today. Bring it on

If anything, I thought we might play 5 in midfield but it would be harsh to drop anyone after last week's performance.
Witch Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Indeed... players that can play several positions are always better subs More down to the different positions benalouane can play... Wonderful logic. Put on the bench one shitty, but versatile player instead one decent, experienced and well tested. Now we can be shitty on more than one position. Yay!
