At what point?

I know, im wrapped up in the excitement of a great finish and a great start... BUT...........

At what point do we say that.... we,  LEICESTER CITY, "are that damn good!!"

More points than any other side since April!

Only one loss in the past.... 12? games (Plus the preseason unbeaten?)

Undefeated this season!

A world class manager!

Current England player!

A super star midfielder in the making!

Playing some super one touch football!

A team full of Internationals and captains!

OK... so all of the above is a bit of excitement creeping in... except for the results.... no one can argue with our results

I think we're are a mid table team. I think we can definitely reach 10th place this season.

Agree. A realistic expectation. Some of last years strong performers may well have comparative struggles which could help too.. West Ham, Southampton for a start. Don't think any of the teams who finished below us will improve enough to leapfrog us and think we now look stronger than WBA. Expecting at worst 12th. At best maybe 8th.

Always too easy to wait for the trip-up when you're a Leicester fan. We've suffered so many false dawns in the near half a century that I've been following the team, however.....

I genuinely believe that what we're building here, could see the best times in the club's history on the horizon.

The current squad is arguably stronger than those of either the Bloomfield or O'Neill days, possibly on a par with the 60s finest under Matt Gillies. I would only expect the next year or too to see it strengthened further.

Having said that, each and every season the nerves won't go away until that magic 40 points is reached!

Definitely this!!

After the next 5 games, we have games we should win, Bury, Bournemouth, Villa. Then we have Stoke away which is the level we are aiming for, then Arsenal which is a game we don't expect anything from.

First we need to win the games we should, that is what will set us out as not being relegation candidates, then we need to beat the likes of Stoke to show we belong in the top half, then if we get something out of Arsenal it will show that this is something special.

At the moment we have beaten Sunderland, who were shit, West Ham who have also lost to Bournemouth and some European part timers, and drew with a struggling Spurs side who haven't won yet this season.

There are a huge amount of positives in the last 5 months, but let's not get carried away.

Not yet, it's a brilliant start but the two teams we beat have also lost at home to Bournemouth and Norwich.

We look like we are carrying on from last season though in the right direction

The beginning of last season should tell you that early results are not a great indicator of what lies ahead (villa?)

However, our aggressive style is certainly paying dividends in general.

Saturday was the first indicator of how teams will try and nullify that style (sitting deep and playing the ball around between their midfield and defence). let's see how we get on over the next 4 games. Some think we could win three, I wouldn't expect to win more than one of them. if we take more than 6 points from these four games then a top half finish is easily achievable with this squad and should probably be expected.

By the way, these next three games yielded 7 points last season! (ignore Bournemouth)

I'd say to just enjoy it. Yes we'll probably have a bad patch but for the moment we're a joy to watch. Every play is giving 100% effort so it's really encouraging

There will be a point when we lose. When we have an off day and get beat.

The test will be in the belief of the squad and the fans to bounce straight back.

We played some stinkers under MON...then went and beat Man Utd the following week.

I still believe some people are waiting for the bubble to burst. And if it does, will tell us it would happen.

when we get to 40 points id say. then we deffo aren't going down so we can deffo look up.

Totally agree.

I think the most important thing right now is to reach 42 points as quick as possible. We have 7 thus far which equate to over 16% of this points target after just 3 games.  But lets not get carried away.  We know there are going to be tough periods ahead, but the nearer we get to this safety target, the less the pressure will be on us all.

Lets see where we are in Feb, we'd have played every side and begun to play sides once more. At the minute we know what the first XI can do, we've no idea how well the squad can perform and we're still enjoying the bump from last seasons incredible run.

I think we can certainly take a lot of positives from the form we have been in back end of last season and start of this. The first test will be Arsenal imo and like it's been said above, if we were to lose the game, how the squad respond! I think this soon would be too daft to assume where we will end up, all teams have a little off period, I am sure we would all love for that not to be the case but when we do it is all down to the players and how they deal with it as a collective.

Each game will be an indicator, Bournemouth and Villa are relegation candidates, if we don't get anything from those games then it undoes all the hard work from the season so far.

Stoke will be mid table possibly pushing for Europe, if we beat Villa and Bournemouth and then get a draw from Stoke, then that is where we are, failing to beat Villa and Bournemouth means the Stoke result is irrelevant we will be lower half of the table candidates.

If we take 7-9 points from our next 3 games, then we face Arsenal, now if we beat Arsenal to make it 10-12 from 4 games, then we can seriously start thinking that we have something special going on here, because that is what it will need to get those results.

But first target is the same as last season, passing 11 points, the amount Derby got in their last season in the Premier League, the lowest total ever. Only 4 more points to go.

Last game of the season title decider!!!

Ok it won't be, going way over the top but i'll just keep on dreaming.

Our end of season run in was, comparatively speaking, an easy one. We weren't playing top sides. Last 9 matches of the season we only played Chelsea in the top 5 and Southampton in the top 7 and Swansea in the top 10. Granted we have done really well but again we haven't had any of the top teams yet this season. I think we will be 13th-15th but I'd love it if we did finish top 10.

Swansea and Southampton were still aiming for Europe and we comfortably beat them. Its not fair to dismiss them wins tbh.

It is rather annoying. Almost like you have an attention disorder.

Our current style of play will guarantee results. We just need to stop giving away silly goals like Saturday. Once again we've seen how you get punished at this level for a lapse in concentration which Schlupp clearly had. Which was a pity as I thought he had a decent game apart from that error.
