AndWhat? Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 We're full?? 95% of Wales isn't built on. Send them all there!
lianne81 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-34151229 Sorry, but it's starting to annoy me a bit - hope it's a temporary fix, as everyone will want to come here. There's plenty of homeless, and the like, people around the UK - and they should be given 'priority', and not really these. Controversial in saying this, but needs to be said. Must admit is annoying seeing all they done for the migrants , yet when it comes to owe own that are homeless hardly anything is done to help xx
les-tah Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I love it that if you say you oppose letting refugees in or against mass immigration your suddenly a barbaric moronic nazi.
Nalis Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I love it that if you say you oppose letting refugees in or against mass immigration your suddenly a barbaric moronic nazi. Typical lefties Yet if you say we should accept more refugees you are seen as some hybrid of Marx and Lenin...
Carl the Llama Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I love it that if you say you oppose letting refugees in or against mass immigration your suddenly a barbaric moronic nazi. Typical lefties Quote? I've not seen it said in here, stop beating yourself up.
C-man Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I love it that if you say you oppose letting refugees in or against mass immigration your suddenly a barbaric moronic nazi. Where have you got that from?
les-tah Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Quote? I've not seen it said in here, stop beating yourself up.Haha well someone had mentioned moronic .. Exaggerated on the nazi thing thing (P.s was meant in general not just foxestalk) should of clarified that
Carlos88LCFC Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 How about 'we are sorry Syria' flag. As it's us (as a country) that have caused this mess, along with America. We should think twice about dropping bombs on people's families and pissing them off... I know if the shoe was on the other foot and someone dropped a bomb on my family, I would do what ever it takes to get revenge. Yes, the 'terrorist organizations' take it too far with what they do, but we take it further. Money is the route to all evil and that's what all war is about, a source to get funds. I for one think bankers, politicians, petroleum companies and other 'super high net worth individuals' that run this planet should dip into their own pockets and save these kids rather than causing more wars and anger.
gerrytaggart Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Help your fellow human beings ffs. One day you will probably need help yourself. This 'the country is full' shit is pathetic.
les-tah Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Help your fellow human beings ffs. One day you will probably need help yourself. This 'the country is full' shit is pathetic. Totally agree! Help the humans! Not open the borders but more make a HUGE safe zone in Syria which is protected by UN troops where families can live safe and worry free.
davieG Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 This thread is not about whether one should help of not that can go in here - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/102481-migrants-whats-the-answer/ It's about having a Welcome Refugee at the football.
Deucalion Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Local authorities are struggling because the government would rather invest in the super rich than the average person in the country. Has anyone ever been to the Middle East or thereabouts? The work ethic is tremendous, with people choosing to work from the moment the get up to late at night. There is no concept of work/life balance, work is their social life. With this in mind, 4 million Syrians would probably give the economy a massive boost. I like the idea of a sorry banner though.
davieG Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 "We're at tipping point" - Leicestershire County Council on cash crisis By danjmartin | Posted: September 03, 2015 County Hall has warned it has reached "the tipping point" with its finances as it struggles to deal with the Government's austerity drive. Bosses at Leicestershire County Council have warned they might not in the future be able to afford to run services it is legally obliged to provide because of a lack of cash. Officials at the authority have produced a new report saying they will have to find "significantly more" than the £87 million they had planned to save over the next four years. gerrytaggart Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 We should round up all the racists in this counrty and kick them out....that shoud free up plenty of space to welcome people looking for a safe sanctuary.
les-tah Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 We should round up all the racists in this counrty and kick them out....that shoud free up plenty of space to welcome people looking for a safe sanctuary.I feel like this topic is going into political over drive especially now the racist word is being thrown about!
SecretPro Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Photo of dead refugee baby broadcast by major left leaning news outlets = everyone becomes a do gooder and is up in arms. Thousand of photos of babies with limbs, heads blown off by Israel when they pounded Gaza illegitimately make it onto Twitter but not national news = noone gives a shit. Absolutely appals me that the media choose what to broadcast and what not to for their own agenda/political motivations. It's a joke. People need to open their eyes to the real world.
gerrytaggart Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I feel like this topic is going into political over drive especially now the racist word is being thrown about! Only aimed at you if you feel it applies.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 So English fans are doing this to show solidarity with their German counterparts. Their German counterparts want to send a message of welcome and encourage refugees to go to watch the football in Germany. That's the point at which the two situations kind of become incomparable when we're charging £45 to go and watch Leicester vs West Ham!

Yes the prices are way over the top these days, but mate, the germans are not doing this to encourage refugees to watch football!!! (Not sure if you were serious??)
lcfcdave15 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 It's actually the major right leaning papers (Daily Mail, The Sun, The Telegraph) which are all of a sudden calling for the refugees to be helped after the photo came out. They've taken a sudden U-turn from their usual scaremongering ways and quite rightly so. Yes, there are countless problems in the world and on our doorstep but lets not blame the refugees for getting the press at the moment, that's the media for you. The fact is that the UK and America has got to do something to help these refugees since it is largely stated that what is going on in Syria has stemmed from the unjust war in Iraq hunting for non-existent WMDs. To those who believe this right wing media fuelled notion that the UK is full - there are over 1 million empty homes in the UK.
notnow john Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 We're full?? 95% of Wales isn't built on. Send them all there! Haven't they suffered enough?
I blame Wellens Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Leicester City brings together 30000 fans from all over Leicester. You feel a bond with them because they love the same club as you. I dont ask them to like the same movies, music and taste in food. I don't ask them to follow a particular religion or force my politicical views down their throats. The immigrant/ refugee debate is the biggest political hot potato at the moment. For many it's a philosophical, social or moral debate. For some it's simple they just see it as a tragedy, therefore, they feel it can be brought to the attention of others through football. I understand the latter point of view and sympathise with it. BUT my own view is that I think at this moment in time it is a too contentious an issue to bring to the football ground as it is far too political' at the moment.' And politics never solves anything.
gerrytaggart Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Id love to see this flag at the Villa game. (And not just in the Villa section)
Rincewind Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Lefties get the blame for everything. Even caring and showing compassion..

To be fair who can blame them when the same BBC has been forcing the desperate women and children angle down everybody's throat. Seriously, check out the BBC home page right now, there are about six main photographs dedicated to the story and five are of Syrian women and children. This is despite the vast majority of migrants being young single men aged 18-40, not from Syria, and not directly fleeing war or persecution.
