Charl91 Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Last 2 games. Goals scored with Inler on the pitch, 0. Goals conceded 4. Goals scored without Inler on the pitch, 5. Goals conceded, 0. Now I'm not going to say it's all down to him, but he has looked pretty poor. He needs to take a back-seat, and let the God-like Kante and Drinkwater run things for a while.
Tuna Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Perhaps we can bring him on with 20 minutes to go to lose the game?
ousefox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Him and Drinkwater are too similar. It's clear you want one of Inler/Drinkwater and Kante/King
Corky Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Doesn't seem up to the pace yet. He is better than he is showing, that's clear. Kante has forced his way into the starting 11 now, Drinkwater seems to be adapting to this level and King ended last and started this season well. I would give him the West Ham match as it's not as important as the Arsenal game (though still very much want to win). Won't totally write him off though, two years ago there was a groundswell of opinion that Vardy wasn't up to the Championship level and look how that has changed.
Benji Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Kante and Drinkwater going forwards - but let's not pretend the first half today was down to him. Two schoolboy mistakes from De Laet (committing AGAIN) and Morgan.
davieG Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 If this is going to be about Inler can you keep it to the Inler topic http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/102556-inler/page-10#entry3583078 Thanks
indierich06 Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Kante is clearly better/in better form than Inler and he should be starting with DD in midfield - these comebacks are not going to happen every week. I think in Jan we need to go shopping for another RB too. Maybe a starting CB as well.

wokinghamfox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 I think his future at Leicester must now be Inler balance☺
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 it's not all his fault though, the lineup today was bizarre overall.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 don't worry we can always send him out on loan to Bolton
Frank to be Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Inler hasn't been great but it would be a folly to write him off so soon. Give him time to play himself into the team and the league and his class will most likely shine through.
GaelicFox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Fools on here last week saying CAMBIASSO was the same when he started This guy is NO CAMBIASSO Seriously he is way too slow of feet and brain for this league Liability at present don't worry we can always send him out on loan to Bolton They have enough problems
MC Prussian Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Funny how some people find the most unlikely of correlations when things aren't going well (enough). How many of those goals against were initiated by a counter-attack on either flank (in particular in De Laet's territory)? When you claim he's looked "pretty poor" - what were you expecting? He's there to secure the centre of the pitch and protecting the back four, Huth and Morgan in particular. Doesn't it speak volumes that we look more vulnerable on the left or right? But what does that have to do with Inler exactly? I also remember Drinkwater not being up to his best in the first half, with a handful of mistimed passes - but does he get the same flak Inler does? Compare today's feedback to last week's (post) match game.

Compare today's feedback to last week's (post) match game. its about his commitment which is badly lacking. The guy has been substituted very early in the last two games does that not say it all really. Its about his contribution and that has been non existant.
STUHILL Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Claudio unfortunately guilty of putting big names in over ones who have been performing. Big enough to change it at half-time though so I can forgive him that. Inler should start with King on Tuesday and see how he does but for me, Kante and Drinkwater should start against Arsenal. Plus Claudio should stop messing with the formation. I still want 3 5 2 with wing backs but if he wants the 4-4-2 and we are winning/drawing then keep it that way, don't tinker with it!
johnny the fox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 I think we have found our scapegoat.. what a relief..
Vardinhio Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 He is not playing well at the moment and should not be in the team but has undoubtedly has quality and I'm sure he will be a useful addition.
dayday Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 I suppose its Inler's fault Morgan cocked up his back pass.
filbertstreet Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 got no bacon for my full english, I blame inler

Won't totally write him off though, two years ago there was a groundswell of opinion that Vardy wasn't up to the Championship level and look how that has changed. I agree in the round with this. However, the difference with Vards then was, he was significantly younger than Inler is now, and previously had been on on upward curve )albeit at a much lower level) with the potential to improve. Inler on the other hand is now 31, and players of that age only go one way, and whatever the timespan is, that is downhill. I don't want to write the bloke off, and I'm sure the club don't given the wages they are paying him, but at the same time if I was picking the side I could not have him on my mind given the performances so far. At this point in time looks as though he's 'gone at the game' - to use horse racing parlance.

The 3-5-2 formation would negate our problem defensive areas by removing Schlupp and De Laet from the defence (who were again, at best amateurish at Stoke imo)which is to my eyes the only thing at the moment that needs tinkering with. (Schlupp to be employed in an attacking berth wide left)
