He can sign whoever the **** he likes imo if we keep performing like we are. Such a fickle twat aren't you

Another reminder of how you're never right.

Makes you think they'd rather be 20th in the league right now with 0 points as long as Pearson was still in charge.

I think they'd be content with league one football as long as the almighty team builder Pearson was still in charge

I'm not agreeing with them, but why is it that everyone jumps on this type of comment every time someone says something to criticise Ranieri? There is no proof at this moment in time that Pearson wouldn't have us in the exact same position, in fact it's his team, his coaching set up and very much similar tactics. Credit to Claudio for coming in and keeping consistency, but I honestly feel that he has changed so little, you can't say it's him that has got us here..... Yet.

Not convinced by Benluane or Inler.... Yet, I think the Italian league is very different, it is slower and there is more emphasis on winning the ball through interceptions and reading the game as apposed to pressing high and tackling hard (The English Way). Due to this, players that come across from Italy (in the last few years) have taken a while to adapt to the pace and high pressure game of the premier league. It is for that reason that I am wary of us filling the squad with too many players from Serie A, Bene and Inler need to adapt, improve and become a successful part of our team before we add any more adapting players. We are only allowed a 24 man squad, we don't want to fill it with players that are of less use than others could be.

Do we need him? Mahrez / albrighton / schlump / Dyer / Dodoo. Please leave the signings to Walsh et al. Another depressing remainder we no longer have a team builder manager but one that just signs a load of average foreign players

Ezequiel Schelotto sure he can shine at Leicester City amid transfer talk

Free agent Ezequiel Schelotto has said he is open to a move to Premier League side Leicester City.Schelotto, 26, had his contract terminated by Inter Milan in the summer, after a prosed switch to Chievo broke down.He asked to be released to allow him to find a new club even after the transfer window closed, and the Nerazzurri obliged.

Currently training alone, the former Italy international is waiting for the right offer to arrive, and he hopes it will come from England, where Leicester would be a preference."I'd like to play there and I'm ready to get back into action," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I don't know what stage the negotiations are at with Leicester, but if [Esteban] Cambiasso can do well there, then I'm sure I can too."I would never have imagined I'd find myself without a club at the age of 26. Now I'm waiting for a gift -- a new club."

He talks like it's a forgone conclusion.

Cambiasso was a world class player in his day.  You haven't even thrown a kettle over a pub yet son.

We play a completely different formation now than we did at the end of last season. If we weren't doing well, you'd be criticising ranieri for changing too much (in fact he has faced this criticism even though we're doing very well). Give it a rest and enjoy the day jesus Mary Joseph

No he probably hasn't changed his style and the team too much but his subs and tactics have been spot on and that is where Pearson lacked

Haha ironically we are playing 4 4 2 which everybody slated when Pearson played it, despite its success at the start of last season. Anyway I didn't want to turn it into a Pearson vs Ranieri debate, but there is no evidence to say that we wouldn't be where we are had Nige stayed. That is all I said.

I have criticised Ranieri and that's because I am not convinced by some of the things he has done. We could have easily lost several games this season had we not changed back to our winning formula after he changed it at the start of a game needlessly. However I have also been first to give him credit for being brave with styles of play and allowing us to keep on attacking the way we do. I like him, I think he is as close to consistency as we could have got without keeping Nige, which is great.

Anyway the point I made about players adapting still stands. You can't argue that having 3/4 players in a 24 man squad who are adapting is a risky game. Especially when it is likely they would replace those who have already proven themselves.

Yep because Ranieri hasn't made any mistakes with subs and formations. And of course Pearson didn't manage to put together that run at the the end last season by making apt changes and subs when required, it was Cambiasso who did it all.

A final run in desperation. What about the other 4/5's of the season.

There is also no evidence to suggest we wouldn't have been bottom of the table this season with Pearson and relegated. None of us will ever know, so it's pointless to compare.

All I know is that we are in the best position we have been in for many a year.

Is this the NP V CR thread.

We so need one  :(

I don't know who skated 442, we won the championship playing 442. I remember 541 and the diamond getting slated, but they were pretty bad.

Inler and Benny haven't replaced anyone so I don't see how you can say it's likely that a new player will easily replace a proven player. Ranieri dropped Inler very quickly, he doesn't seem the sort who will persist with underperforming players just because he signed them.

That's probably been the most impressive point about CR so far.

He talked Inler up. got him to start and then dropped him when he saw that N'Golo and Danny worked better.

I think Inler will come good but hope that CR always plays our best players at any time (unlike Woy!)

Free agent Ezequiel Schelotto has said he is open to a move to Premier League side Leicester City.

Schelotto, 26, had his contract terminated by Inter Milan in the summer, after a prosed switch to Chievo broke down.

He asked to be released to allow him to find a new club even after the transfer window closed, and the Nerazzurri obliged.

Currently training alone, the former Italy international is waiting for the right offer to arrive, and he hopes it will come from England, where Leicester would be a preference.

"I'd like to play there and I'm ready to get back into action," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I don't know what stage the negotiations are at with Leicester, but if [Esteban] Cambiasso can do well there, then I'm sure I can too.

"I would never have imagined I'd find myself without a club at the age of 26. Now I'm waiting for a gift -- a new club."

Schelotto admits that his career took a turn for the worse as soon as coach Andrea Stramaccioni left Inter. "He was a very important person for me," he said. "He wanted me to prove myself at the Nerazzurri and his departure was unlucky for me.

"I'd like to thank [Roberto] Mancini, who is a winner and had me training with the first team even if I did not figure in his plans. When [Walter] Mazzarri came, though, I had to leave. I respected his choices, but I would have liked to have been given the opportunity that he gave to many other players."

The Argentina-born winger has made a total of 152 appearances in Serie A, 29 of which came for Chievo last season. A return to Verona broke down just before the transfer deadline, when he instead asked to be released from his contract with Inter.
