Just spotted this on the Sky Sports website...

Emmanuel Eboue

The Ivorian is set to leave Turkish giants Galatasaray in January with Premier League joint-leaders Leicester reported to be in the hunt for the defender by The Sunday People.

Eboue, 32, made 214 appearances for Arsenal between 2004 and 2011 before moving overseas. He is understood to be keen on a return to England.

Really? Can't see us wanting to go for him. He was good a few years back, but not anymore...

It was in the Free Transfer XI article on there.

I know we were linked with him, last summer was it? It might be just regurgitated, lazy writing (I hope, think we can and should, do better).

We've been linked with Eboue in just about every window since we've been promoted I think. A re-hash I reckon.

Would Ahmed Musa be an attainable target? Only seen him play a handful of times on TV for Nigeria in the World Cup and CSKA Moscow in the Champions League but he seems an abundance of talent. Pace, work rate, can play wide or up top, creative and a good goal scoring rate from wider positions. Seems like he could suit our style of play.

for me, i feel we need to strengthen in about four positions.

GK: If Schmeichel gets injured we're screwed. Now we're a more recognised team, i think a good keeper would be happier to join us and sit on the bench quite a lot

CB: For me, Huth has been quite erratic this season and I'd quite like to see if we could bring someone with a bit more pace and agility at the back. We've seen quick players like sterling and bojan taking advantage of his lack of pace and as morgan can take care of the big strikers, would be good to have a compliment to morgan who can cope well with pace.

CM: If we assume Matty James is not going to be playing a big part in this season due to lack of match fitness, we need stronger back up for Kante and DD. King isn't quite up to standard to be 3rd choice and inler is a bit one dimensional. Another box to box, hungry midfielder would be great to have, maybe one who can get a couple of goals as well.

ST: Lets get kramaric out on loan to get him some games and get a goalscorer in to partner vards. This I feel is the least important position to strengthen of the four though as we already have good quality there.

Are we being looking to buy big because we're about to sell big?

Doubt it, i reckoning it is for strengthenig the squad so we can stay in our current position.

some real nice players we could pick up on a bosman

Roman Neustadter sounds like the type of player we could be looking at. We know our scouting team pay a lot of attention to stats. Pulled this from the Mirror.

"Roman Neustadter is a dominating figure in the Schalke midfield. He favours the defensive-midfield role but, because of his height, is also capable of filling in at centre-back. The 27-year-old boasts an impressive 88 per cent passing accuracy so far this season, winning 61 per cent of his tackles."

He sounds like a cross between Kante and Huth. We need more height in the team and another midfielder, so he sounds perfect.

Transfermarket value him at £4.9m which sounds good until you see they value Mahrez at £7.7m and Vardy at £4.2m, so...

How about Defoe as backup striker?

His legs have gone, no.

I said it on the Demarari Gray thread, whatever players our scouting people bring in, I have every faith they will do a good job. Our scouting is top notch, finding players such as Kante, Mahrez and Vardy etc.
