dylanlegend Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 He's free in the summer. IF we wanted him I'd much rather we kept the £8m in our pockets and got him in the summer and persist with Ulloa/ Okazaki for the remaining five months. I don't think he's much of an upgrade on Ulloa and would rather we set our sights on a better striker who has attributes that suit our team more. He's free in the summer yes. But like I said.... If we pay say £8million for him now (as QPR may want to cash in?) at least we've signed at 20mill player for 8mill. If he's free in the summer he'll go to a Spurs / Liverpool over us, no chance he'd come to us on a free... He'll have too many offers. Plus adds quality in Jan.
1972 Fox Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Mario Gomez anyone? Currently on loan at Besiktas and on fire. Only 30 years old and would bring top quality as a target man Yes please. Would be a real coup and statement of intent imo.

Well he's not a £20m player as they couldn't find someone to pay £15m for him this summer as his stock hasn't risen since. Also he's not a commodity for QPR to with as they wish. If he won't come here in the summer he won't come here next week. His contract is up in the summer so he'll know that he can get an inflated wage because of this, he's not going to sign for someone in th January unless they pay him a similar salary to one he expects to get as a free agent. If anything I could see him going on loan in January to a PL team for a £3m-£5m fee.

We bid 12million for him in the summer with 12 months on his contract so if he had a 4 year contract id say he'd be a 20mill player. Also, didn't he get called up to the England squad in the summer? Only 25 as well 20mill is nothing these days. QPR wouldn't sell for 4mill in Jan, if they have any chance of promotion they'd want to keep him.

-MaTaN- Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Eran Zahavi just scored 4 more goals today. 28 GOALS SO FAR.Sign him guys, please! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlYALAi1Bwk
Alex tilley Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Happens from time to time with players. Same with Dyer at Swansea. They hit a patch playing with a particular personnel and he just couldnt get back in despite being better than what they have. Mirallas is an exceptionally creative, pacey, strong attacker that can play across all positions in the frontline. Wouldnt cost the earth either. Would be a great signing if we could get this man.

-MaTaN- Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 I'm sure I read somewhere that Watford were after him Israeli media said that an english team is after him and that's probebly Watford 'cuse their last coach (Jokanovic) is Maccabi's current manager (He left for Fulham just one hour ago though) so he told them about this guy. He's just amazing. He scores when he wants. 28 goals since September with knocking out Basel on his own from the CL, That's insane.
Nick Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 He may be amazing. But the defending in the vid is dire.
Tuna Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 was watching it at the time, but seen a lot of him this season & thought he was unfortunate in the premiership last year... It was a great finish.
MC Prussian Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 He may be amazing. But the defending in the vid is dire. That's what I was thinking. So many bad touches and no understanding for your fellow centre-back. I don't think the standard in the Israeli league is that good, the video makes Zahavi look better than he probably is. It's flattering to any attacking player.
les-tah Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Trust in Walsh and co!! The club know the top 4 has become realistic so they will go out and get the right players!!!
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Looks like a good finisher but he wouldn't of got any of those chances In the premier league. Defending was awful the centre back couldn't even clear the ball
Benguin Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 I want a new striker that you know is going to score plenty. Austin or Ighalo would be incredible
Rushden fox Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Berahino - get it done! Not a chance, that attitude here would be a disaster. Imagine if Ulloa, Kram, king, Inler spent 5 mins talking to him. Mutiny on the bounty
Callabinho Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Apparently we've revived interest in Carillo, according to some reports coming out of Portugal. http://www.libero.pe/futbol-internacional/2015-12-26-andre-carrillo-leicester-city-se-suma-al-sevilla-en-la-pugna-por-fichar-la-culebra This from the other day.

Mutiny on the bounty But given the shit he's getting at West Brom, he'd be so relieved to get out that he may be inspired... for at least 6 months... then become a mardy git again.

Callabinho Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Can he play number 10? Yes, very dynamic forward thinking player.
Tuna Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 Yes, very dynamic forward thinking player. GERRIMIN!

Daz93 Posted 28 December 2015 Posted 28 December 2015 On Carillo, got told this by a Sporting fan: "The contract issue has its ups and downs, regarding the player. While it's true that he refused the proposal, the board should've presented that proposal way early, and not less than a year from the end of the contract, when he can be persuaded by other clubs. He's with us for 6 years now, and he found his game in the past 2 seasons. A very skilled winger, incredibly fast, great technique, and really grew defensively in the past 12 months. With Jesus, he even played as a second forward, that allowed him to show some creativity that we couldn't see up to that point. He would be a great asset for most of the medium-high teams on the big leagues."
