Finnaldo Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 Had no idea until yesterday that Weezer had released another album on Friday but I've enjoyed most of it to be honest, nice mix of the classic Weezer Power-Pop and slightly heavier, darker stuff, seems to get better halfway through in my opinion. Favourite track is Do You Wanna Get High, very similar to Say It Ain't So if not slightly heavier, which is one of my favourite Weezer tracks.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Can't work out what I think of the last shadow puppets album. Uninspiring? I think it's fantastic, I liked their first effort but this one has a lot more about it for me. Massive fan, feels a lot less like a side project and something proper now. Pattern, Miracle Aligner and Sweet Dreams, TN are bloody great.
The Doctor Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Uninspiring? Not quite - I probably need to listen to it a few more times but it's just not getting me the way their first one did.
purpleronnie Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Just a heads up The last shadow puppets are playing de montfort. I haven't been to a gig in a couple of months thought about going but seeing the manics at de montfort kinda put me off seeing live music there....maybe I need to exorcise that ghost but will probably wait for a band I really dig.
MC Prussian Posted 5 April 2016 Author Posted 5 April 2016 Laura Sauvage's debut "Extraordinormal" is as smashing as her prior EP (of which above track is taken).

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 April 2016 Posted 7 April 2016 The Range's new album is absolutely stunning as well, what a great month or so for music it's been.
RonnieTodger Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Last Shadow Puppets playing at De Mont for £38.50
filbertway Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 The Range's new album is absolutely stunning as well, what a great month or so for music it's been. Gave this a listen on your recommendation, enjoyed it a lot. Ended up listening right through to the first album a few times as well. Enjoyed it a lot more than M83's album I have to say.
separator Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Radiohead are rumoured to be releasing a new album soon but in the last 24 hours the content on their website, twitter & facebook accounts has all been deleted. They're known for unusual album releases but we'll have to wait and see. Either that or Thom Yorke has had a breakdown. Anyway, big Radiohead fan here so bring it on.
separator Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Radiohead just released their 9th album online, A Moon Shaped Pool. Didn't think this weekend could get any better.
MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2016 Author Posted 12 May 2016 Radiohead just released their 9th album online, A Moon Shaped Pool. Didn't think this weekend could get any better. Got the album two days ago, but didn't give it a proper listen up until yesterday on the way back home from work. Seems less "experimental" this time, with more emphasis on dreamy harmonies and delivering beautifully crafted music. They've got themselves a winner here - I like the new output very much.
Samilktray Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 Upon 1st listen the Kaytranada album is probably the best album of the year
Rocket-Ron Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 https://twitter.com/thestoneroses/status/730714160472952832
separator Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 https://twitter.com/thestoneroses/status/730714160472952832 Going to be broadcast on Mark Rileys 6Music show at 8pm as well just in case the the Stone Roses website crashes with the demand (I'm assuming thats how they'll release it anyway)
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2016 Author Posted 20 May 2016 Andy Shauf's new album is tremendously good - total 70ies throwback.
StanSP Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Kygo's new album, Cloud Nine, isn't too bad. Will suit me for the summer. Same as Drake's album.
UPinCarolina Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 Great new music: Car Seat Headrest - Teens Of DenialThe latest Brand New track, "I Am A Nightmare"
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Enjoying TLSP new album, seeing them at De Montford next week which is exciting. Can't wait for Catfish & Bottlemen's new album tomorrow, hope it's as good as the first.
