Foxes all the way Posted 22 October 2015 Author Posted 22 October 2015 People on Twitter are trying to get the whole stadium to clap on the 22nd minute for a Leicester fan named Aaron who passed away.
StanSP Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Why People on Twitter are trying to get the whole stadium to clap on the 22nd minute for a Leicester fan named Aaron who passed away.
Foxes all the way Posted 22 October 2015 Author Posted 22 October 2015 http://www.leicesterfantv.com/support-us-22ndminute-applause-for-aaron/ Not 100% sure why the 22nd minute but he was a true Leicester fan from what I can see who died aged 25. It will be good to support his family and friends.
Strokes Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Tributes like this are reserved for memorable people within the club. Surely their are more apt ways for people who knew him to honour him.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Not being a twat, but who decides which Leicester fans are deserving of a minutes applause and which aren't?
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 So do you want everyone to be silent in the 21st and 23rd minutes then? Or the whole of the rest of the match?

I have every sympathy for what they're going through, and it's galling to think someone's passed away so young, but these gestures are becoming so common in football that they've become hollow and lost all meaning. The best way to honour a fellow fan is to sing your heart out for the full 90.

VLC86 Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 So do you want everyone to be silent in the 21st and 23rd minutes then? Or the whole of the rest of the match? Yep that's exactly what they are asking isn't it....

C-man Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Firstly, RIP Aaron. Horrendous to read such a young life taken away. God bless. I noticed the other day that Newcastle are still doing the 17th minute applause for the 2 lads who died in the MH17 plane disaster. It got me thinking, will they still be clapping them in 5 years? At what point does their loss stop being important enough to applaud?
lgfualol Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Horrible to hear about Aaron, he was way too young. Let's hope we dont concede on the 22nd minute.
Nalis Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Last season's applause was enough for those Newcastle lads. Was at St James' Park for the last game of the season and it was quite poignant at that time. Personally put it down to it being the last one but apparently not and I fear it will lose its effect carrying it theough to this season.
Izzy Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 I hate all this over analysis. If you choose to stand up and applaud Aaron on the 22nd minute then great, his family will be proud. If you don't know about it or choose not to then that's also fine. That is all.
Wymsey Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 RIP Aaron. - Why not on the 25th minute? At least get the basics right.

David Lowe Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Totally disagree with this. It is very sad news. Such a young age. The family will be in my thoughts...but please no more of this clapping on certain minutes.

If you don't know about it or choose not to then that's also fine. That is all. Well said. If you want to pay your respects, do it in whichever way you please. The whole world doesn't need to know you've done it, only you.

C-man Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 People can be so ignorant and cynical honestly no wonder this world is in such a mess Are you genuinely equating people questioning the need to clap every unfortunate family who happen to lose a loved one with the problems the world is facing in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Russia, central and North Africa?
