NewquayFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Completely different playing style but we will get more mileage out of Kante and he is bringing the best out of Drinkwater..... Up the City.....
Countryfox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes ... I mean no ... I mean yes .... I mean no .... I'll take both please.
chapero82 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Has the irreplaceable been replaced. No he hasn't, but imagine if we had them both in our starting line up
fuchsntf Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes..cos with Cambiasdo we were struggling. Plus if you hadnt noticed you donut, we already have.
benpicko Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Drinky's playing more like Cambiasso did and no I wouldn't swap this Drinkwater for Cambiasso
Claridge Posted 24 October 2015 Author Posted 24 October 2015 No he hasn't, but imagine if we had them both in our starting line up Drink waters been amazing as well.loved the oneil team ,but this squad is awesome.
Claridge Posted 24 October 2015 Author Posted 24 October 2015 Yes..cos with Cambiasdo we were struggling. Plus if you hadnt noticed you donut, we already have. Shit, thought he was injured
Charl91 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Kante is the better to have because he's much younger, so no, I wouldn't. If it was Cambiasso from 7 years ago, than yes.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Any difference in comparison comes down to age I feel. Kante seems to have more energy and pace, but he's younger; whilst Cambiasso had better eye for spotting runs and more intelligent play, but he was older. That said, I think Kante could become a very good player.
EnglishOxide Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Who remembers that Palace counter attack? 3 vs 1 and Kante won the ball and broke up the play. I felt he prevented a goal single handedly.
FireFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Who remembers that Palace counter attack? 3 vs 1 and Kante won the ball and broke up the play. I felt he prevented a goal single handedly. Won the ball twice during that. As others have said, they're different types of players. Without Kante, we wouldn't have anyone to fill that role, but Drinky has done well to fill Cambiasso's role. So why would we want to swap Kante for Cambiasso? Would make no sense.
lgfualol Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Nope. N'golo is young and his stamina is amazing.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Who remembers that Palace counter attack? 3 vs 1 and Kante won the ball and broke up the play. I felt he prevented a goal single handedly. Absolutely key to our success this season. I turned to my mate when this happened and we both said the same thing.
fuchsntf Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Absolutely key to our success this season. I turned to my mate when this happened and we both said the same thing. What ??? 'Wanna pizza' I would guess
Vindaloo FOX Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 no , he is much younger and is already a class act, the scary thing is he is only going to get better playing in the Prem. we have been crying out for a player with his energy, speed and tackle in the middle of the park for years, over the moon we have him.
filbertstreet Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Absolutely key to our success this season. I turned to my mate when this happened and we both said the same thing. I'M IN LOVE WITH N'GOLO
Rushden fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Kante is the better to have because he's much younger, so no, I wouldn't. If it was Cambiasso from 7 years ago, than yes. Then we'd have the Kante from 7 years ago, even quicker
The Doctor Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 imagine them both together This. Kantes terrierism breaking up and feeding Cambiassos vision...
Captain... Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 For last season I would take Cambiasso over Kante his leadership, experience and influence over the squad could not be replaced. Kante would have played well but he doesn't have the experience or personality to influence the whole team. This season we don't need that experience and leadership as much, we have a full squad of experienced top flight players, the majority having been involved in the great escape. Kante is a great player in this team in a way I don't think he would have been last season when we were struggling but now I wouldn't swap him for the legend Esteban.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Different seasons, different stories. Esteban Cambiasso in April and May of 2015 was just magical.
