HitchinFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 I love the rat flag idea. Could be the start of something beautiful!Just hope those so called Palace ultras still have a pub to go to after our game there. If the word gets around, pretty sure there are still a fair number of LCFC nutcases who think any excuse will do for a day out. For them, ultra only means one thing – ultraviolent.
Fox92 Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Sure, they'll always be connected but it still seems weird, we should be celebrating current players to rally them on rather than just reflecting on the past. I think we'd all probably take the piss if Forest were having flags of Clough up for a tuesday game against Brighton for instance. Nah man, no way, because of the legacy he had at the club. It's respect isn't it. Look at Liverpool, they have Dalglish, Paisley and Shankley flags every game. Looks quality too. Lennon, O'Neill, Izzet, Lineker etc - whoever is up there - I'm sure the current players aren't bothered. Listen to Vardy's excellent response to the BBC this weekend when they pointed out Lineker didn't score in this amount of successive games.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 October 2015 Author Posted 26 October 2015 I'm almost certain it's the only thing they've ever nicked. Maybe out of a football ground. But I'm on about every day life. They look a right bunch of Asbo candidates.
Soup Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Can't belive someone has had a dig about my Lennon/O'Neil flag. I'll not even try to defend myself apart from saying a current player flag ain't gonna happen.

Its nice seeing some current players one buts its also good to see some legends
yorkie1999 Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Ladies, ladies, ladies. Someone steals your flag, then any response must be disproportionate, public and final. You have to go nuclear (metaphorically). You can't steal their stuff, they've already done that, they've won on that score. You can't do anything in the ground, that is too easily scuppered. You can't break the law, that'll just end you as much as them. What you need is a plane towing a great big **** off sky banner which reads " 'try stealing this you *****' UFS xxx". Job done. These boys will do same day and quote a price. http://www.airads.co.uk/Aerial-Advertising-Smart-Letter-Banners Now close this shameful thread. That's funny, where do I donate.

Bluetintedspecs Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 People here maybe don't understand but ultras scene really have got some 'code of conduct'. One of 'rules' is to defend your colours (banners, scarfs) no matter what. At the same time, like Bilo said, capturing flags on the continent is a major coup and requires serious risks being taken, 'in battle'. As HF pretend to be real ultras, they broken rules by stealing flags unattended. Another 'rule' is no calling officials/police on opposing fans, so reporting them to the club/OB will show 'whole world' that Union FS is not serious, real ultra firm. The problem lies here: UFS is not ultra group, just a group of fans committed to improving the match atmosphere home and away. This must be and will be sorted unofficial. And he first rule of Ultra Club? I'm pissing myself now, fkn unreal

BroughtonFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Yeah I agree totally, the Cambiaso flag was great. Wouldn't mind getting that up in the kop. who made that flag? I want one similar but no idea how to create them

LCFC FOX Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 That's actually a pretty funny idea to be fair. It doesn't even have to be when we play at selhurst. Just one of there upcoming home games will do

Soup Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 who made that flag? I want one similar but no idea how to create them A lad in our group designed it for someone in K block. Some photoshop type thing, I'm still on paint
Bayfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Have we actually now managed to turn this into a current v past players debate. Only on ft.
Izzy Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 That's pathetic It's worse than pathetic, it's fvckin embarrassing. Never in my 35 as a City fan have I ever squirmed as much as I am reading all this Ultra BS. WTF is going on? I never thought I'd see the day where English football is so weak that it has to copy other counties and imitate their 'culture'. We're losing our identity if we have to jump on this bandwagon and pretend to be something we're not. Let the Italians, Poles and others do what they want but please don't try and bring this Ultra sh1t over here. I keep hearing it's non violent but then read instances of where Ultras are causing havoc - make your mind up. And aren't Ultras supposed to have a political agenda too? What's Crystal Palaces political agenda then? The whole thing makes me want to puke.

LCFCFOX6190 Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Which chants have we actually taken from them that they made? They go on as if that 'we love you chant'was made by them Leicester fans moaning about their flags being nicked. What about the daylight robbery of all our chants? .. Not sure if the copy from Twitter worked

What's Crystal Palaces political agenda then? The whole thing makes me want to puke. You realise the European ultra scene is a direct result of English football fans right? Ultimately it's about supporting your club no matter what, its usually vocally and aesthetically. I don't understand why there is such a massive hatred of this so called culture. You are not forced to be part of it, indeed it doesn't even really exist amongst City fans or English fans. It has no effect on you so why slag them off? Just let them get on with it. This snobbish attitude from you and indeed others is cringeworthy. There are many ways to support a team, and people choose to do if in a way that suits them.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Yeah take that you snobs, you're just incapable of understanding why a group of pre-teens would take pride in something so fundamentally cowardly. It's not strange and tragic now get off your high horses thinking you're all so great because it doesn't naturally occur to you to go sneaking around stealing shit for a buzz.
brisfox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 The soup nazi, on 26 Oct 2015 - 9:09 PM, said: Yeah I agree totally, the Cambiaso flag was great. Wouldn't mind getting that up in the kop. who made that flag? I want one similar but no idea how to create them That was my flag. I had it made by a company I found online. If you IM me , I will send you the details. It cost about £45
EnglishOxide Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Well done for spectacularly missing the point. The flag stealing is obviously a bit off but its just a ****ing flag at the end of the day. I'm talking about people talking down to people who wish to label themselves 'ultras' or any group of similar ilk. That exact attitude 'pre teens'... As if you have any right to presume yourself a better person or a better supporter just because you are older. I could sit here and lay into the hundreds of 40 year old balding blokes who go every week, make silly gestures, throw childish tantrums and generally act like teenage twats themselves because of 22 overpaid blokes kicking a ball around but I don't. The point is that whether old or young, ultra or casual, nobody is better than anybody else because we all follow the same sport. If it doesn't affect you let them get on with it.
