Finnegan Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Agree with Finners 2. One of my biggest criticisms of the Fosse Boys was it was too exclusive and trying too hard to be something that I think the majority felt was a little immature at best. I like almost everything UFS have done (with the exception of their location in the ground, but I accept that's probably hard to get around) and they'd be infinitely less appealing if all they did was try and imitate European ultras. Palace are basically the wiggas of the premier league, desperate to be big and cool like something they've seen on telly.
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 no way are you allowed to say wigga on here get that man a ban
Dynamogoon Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 The worst thing about that pic is that they've spelt Ultras on their flag in Chiller font Ayup original Microsoft Word and 1997 how you doing 1997 was a good year for fonts
Finnegan Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 I can't believe it's possible to disagree any more. Enthusiastic football fan I don't see how people who devote hundreds of additional hours/pounds every season to create flags/tifos etc and take the time to back FSF led campaigns for the betterment of all football fans can be missing the point of supporting their club? Depends whether or not it's self promotion or promotion of the club. How do you make the distinction? For me, I go to football to watch football. I'm pretty sure that's Carl's overriding point, that the game and the team come first. no way are you allowed to say wigga on here get that man a ban #unbannable
Langley Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Theft is theft. You wouldn't do it in any other walk of life so why do it here. I hope the individuals get caught and are punished for it.
C-man Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 It doesn't need to be. This incident and cases like pyrotechnics and that's all the 'evidence' politicians or the club needs to clamp straight down on it. Can we not move forward without copying an Eastern European/Italian football culture? The only Ultras group I'm aware of in England that regularly set off pyro is Oxford, and even they are yellow smoke bombs only. The vast majority of pyro set off in England is by young casuals barely old enough to drink, in a concourse where they think they can't be spotted. It's not a reflection of European culture, it's embarrassing and if it is a case of copying Europeans it's an absolutely awful attempt.
Danizen Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 In response, we should commission a banner held across the front of our away end which depicts three rats dressed in red and blue making off with our flags. Make the rats look as diseased as possible. When it's ready, don't just take it to SP. Take it and display it at every away game as a warning to home fans and to humiliate these rats further. I'd pay into that definitely.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 who the **** is bringing a Lennon and O'Neill flag to a game in 2015?

I'm the last person to condone stealing but do you really think the police will be interested in a petty squabble between 2 sets of football fans? If any Palace fans are monitoring this thread they must be loving it. Threatening to go to the police is just playground standard snitching. Move on and don't leave your flag around to be pinched again next time.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 who the **** is bringing a Lennon and O'Neill flag to a game in 2015? Someone who puts in a lot of time, effort and money into supporting LCFC. Have some respect if you're being serious and stop taking the piss if you're not.
LCFC FOX Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 who the **** is bringing a Lennon and O'Neill flag to a game in 2015? why not? It's flags of legends/icons from our football club. I'd sooner have a flag of them than Mark Schwarzer.

Idk, just seems a bit weird. With us flying high at the moment, I'd expect most of the flags we have to be of the likes of Vardy and Mahrez. We're not really in a dire position to have to reflect on the "good old days". Someone who puts in a lot of time, effort and money into supporting LCFC. Have some respect if you're being serious and stop taking the piss if you're not. bizarre reaction
C-man Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Any response must be well thought out, funny, original and above all fvcking humiliating to HF. 'Shit Palace tribute act' such a standard response to anyone one-upping them atmosphere wise it's embarrassing. No grassing, no theft, something new. EDIT: yes Danizen!

ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 I'm the last person to condone stealing but do you really think the police will be interested in a petty squabble between 2 sets of football fans? yeah the police have never overreacted or got involved with football fans before
Webbo Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 yeah the police have never overreacted or got involved with football fans before "They pinched our flag " Yes I can see the Met setting up a taskforce to get it back.
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 "They pinched our flag " Yes I can see the Met setting up a taskforce to get it back. well they regularly spend stupid amounts of time and money just walking next to football fans, you'd probably find if you contact them and ensure they know that there's been a very pretty "crime" but commence your report with A GROUP OF FOOTBALL HOOLIGANS... it'd be number one case in scotland yard

AKCJ Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 "They pinched our flag " Yes I can see the Met setting up a taskforce to get it back. Tresspassing and theft? I should probably say that i'm not actually bothered, just wondering like.
