Vardinhio Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Ruud's record is still across consecutive PL games. If our Jamie was on this run in May when the season ended would we sit here and say the run ended when the season did? Of course not don't be daft.
Webbo Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 It doesn't matter, Jamie's going to break the record anyway.
BoyJones Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Think Sky will be hopeful of Jamie scoring against Newcastle, so he can break the record in the live TV match against Man Utd. It would also allow city fans all over the world to hopefully see history being made by a Leicester City player. Would be brilliant.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 There's a picture going round of him putting his middle finger up today at the linesman
possiblygeorge Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Does anyone else feel that we're too Vardy conscious - and that at some point during his sublime run it might cost us a game?
eblair Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Does anyone else feel that we're too Vardy conscious - and that at some point during his sublime run it might cost us a game? tbh vardy breaking records is now most exciting thing that can happen to us this season (aside from the FA cup), fingers crossed this is a jinx and we finish top four but doubt that will happen

That's my take on it though

possiblygeorge Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 No im afraid not, youre just talking shit as per. Van Nistelrooy holds the record, and it will be so sweet if Vardy can break it vs Man Utd The question is, would we rather Jamie break the record against Manchester United, but lose, or Vardy fail to break the record but win?
Simmo86 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 There's a picture going round of him putting his middle finger up today at the linesman Seen it. Will get a ban I reckon
possiblygeorge Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Seen it. Will get a ban I reckon If he does and score in the two games after that the record won't stand, correct?
Donut Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 The question is, would we rather Jamie break the record against Manchester United, but lose, or Vardy fail to break the record but win? Interesting question. I think id actually plump for breaking the record and losing. A loss against Man Utd wouldnt be completely unexpected if we are honest, and wouldnt do a great deal of damage to our top half credentials. But for someone to score in 11 games in a row which is what the record would be, it would be very hard to see that broken in a long, long time, and the record for the club could probably stand for 50 years. Or more. Although of course, i dont want Leicester to lose.
foxfanazer Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 It still counts but is has to be considered less impressive, surely? Really hope he breaks it though
possiblygeorge Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 It still counts but is has to be considered less impressive, surely? Really hope he breaks it though It'll feel a bit bitter, that's for sure It'll feel a bit bitter, that's for sure Having said that though, if Ruud can take a 3 month break, Vardy can take a one (?) match break
NewburyFox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Seen it. Will get a ban I reckon Surely if they're banning him for that then you have to ban every player who's sworn at the officials? This just happened to be non-verbal

I suggest you read your post back and look up Man Utd recent form and read feedback from pundits and fans alike!
Tielemans63 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Are you watching Roy? You scrotum-faced dweeb.
jimmeh Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Surely if they're banning him for that then you have to ban every player who's sworn at the officials? This just happened to be non-verbal IF you swear at officials you get sent off Besides the record would still stand. It's consecutive games played in.
StanSP Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 The real record is Stan Mortensen (?) who scored 11 goals in a top-flight season, not just Premier League. This was done in the 50s so it'd be amazing if Vardy reached or bettered that record. It's not all about Van Nistelrooy and football since 1992!
NewburyFox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 IF you swear at officials you get sent off Besides the record would still stand. It's consecutive games played in. That might be the rule but how many times have we seen players swearing at officials and not be punished? It would be beyond a joke if he was banned.
Fox 4 Life Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Wilshere got a 2 match ban for sticking his middle finger up at man city fans. Not sure which is worse to the FA
Donut Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 I genuinely missed this incident today with the middle finger gesture. Sad though, such a silly thing to have done, especially in this form.
ScouseFox Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 vardy has now scored in 9 games in a row. last season our best was scoring in 8 games in a row. as a whole team.

I really hope so, that would be a double infront of the sky cameras against Man U, wasn't last season, Man U had never in prem history lost from being 2 goals up!
NewquayFox Posted 8 November 2015 Posted 8 November 2015 Fantastic achievement already by Vardy and he holds the record for 9 in 9 consecutive games in the same season in the Premier league... Up the City
